EagleEye Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Sure, following since first announcement. Unfortunately the guys who are playing the beta aren`t allowed to post screens... I hope for a demo version. Deutsche DCS-Flughandbücher SYSSpecs: i7-4790K @4GHz|GA-Z97X-SLI|16GB RAM|ASUS GTX1070|Win10 64bit|TrackIR5|TM Warthog/Saitek Pro Pedals
Maximus_G Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Actually user (beta) screens are allowed if they don't "create negative impression" and if they're made at max settings. Here you go :) http://forum.sukhoi.ru/showpost.php?p=1337106&postcount=584 http://forum.sukhoi.ru/showpost.php?p=1337109&postcount=585 http://forum.sukhoi.ru/showpost.php?p=1337110&postcount=586 1

TimA Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I posted over on SimHQ a short while ago... this game really is beautiful, it's exceeded my expectations by a way, tons of potential. Here's a few Spitfire shots http://i50.tinypic.com/2guwkyq.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/2znwqi8.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/axh37o.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/11b4rcw.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/2lnif41.jpg
EagleEye Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Hey TimA, haven`t seen them on SIMHQ. Gorgeous shots! Deutsche DCS-Flughandbücher SYSSpecs: i7-4790K @4GHz|GA-Z97X-SLI|16GB RAM|ASUS GTX1070|Win10 64bit|TrackIR5|TM Warthog/Saitek Pro Pedals
Total Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 How are the physics and the feel TimA?
Ramstein Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 the beta requires you to actually place a pre-order to get the beta.. what a rip off.. ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR
Maximus_G Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 There will be a DEMO simultaneously with the release version.
TimA Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I didn't post the screenshots over on SimHQ :) For me the feel of flight is superb, there's a good sense of speed when flying low, probably partly due to the fantastic terrain. The physics are ok, but there are beta patches coming out very often so the FM is constantly being refined. It's a beautiful game, and runs perfectly on my machine (E8400, ati 4870 512mb, 4gb ram) on the very highest settings. I'll post some more screenshots later if I get chance.
TimA Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I was testing a few planes out again (hence why I'm flying an La-7 over Dover), did a quick dogfight with a Bf-109, recorded the replay if anyone would like to see it Apologies the quality isn't superb, my connection can't handle huge uploads, I got a constant 60fps throughout the flight but fraps recording caused it to slow down slightly.
Dave317 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) This looks very interesting. The ground detail looks very realistic. I'll be downloading when it comes out. Edited December 10, 2009 by Dave317
ED Team Glowing_Amraam Posted December 10, 2009 ED Team Posted December 10, 2009 That ground looks fantastic! Also, the fire from the wreck also looks quite realistic. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page

weasel75 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Maybe some Mods/Addons will come out, to remove the shiny glamour and reveal it's true potential as a new WW2-hardcore-reference for the year 2010? :music_whistling: basic for translators ...

Here's an LA-7 with quite a bit of wear on the paint job, but you can still see the gloss. It was standard to have the crew wax the aircraft at regular intervals even back then. Nowadays, waxing aircraft to a shiney gloss is nowhere near as common for various reasons military to military. Edited December 11, 2009 by Total
diveplane Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 they need to improve the audio engine in this more, add dynamic prop sounds , distant hd prop whine. https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
RedTiger Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) How's the AI? That's a biggie with me in WWII sims. WWII = large scale = need AI for potentially 100+ of planes. I also don't play multiplayer. Can you at least bounce the AI properly? Does it seem to always have perfect situational awareness? How about performance? Is it always perfect with trimming and keeping its energy? BTW, watched TimA's La-7 vs. BF-109...fan-freaking-taskic. Canon rounds hitting a fighter actually do some good damage. You must have hit him right at convergence of all 2 or 3 of them. Nice! Edited December 12, 2009 by RedTiger
