Because for the time being the 3rd parties involved are not interested in them.

i really hope to see a modernized su-27 one day su-35bm would be great, why there are no russian wings in this list???

strange, is there no russian modder community in this historical more east orientated origin simulation ?

we need a eastern competitor for the modern western jet´s ;)

beczl is the only one. DCS was never 'more east orientated'. You can try to make arguments going back to flanker etc, but you'll still be wrong.

The radar on the JAS 39 is classified. I had the oppurtunity to fly the militarys own JAS 39 simulator that they use for training about 2 years ago but the guy in charge turned of the radar when we entered.

okay... anyhow i hope that there will be a modern russian jet projekt cause that´s really great planes and for my taste more aesthetic then most western jet´s, the french rafale is for my opinion an exception.

SEPECAT Jaguar

I wonder why non of the 3d party developers or ED is making this beauty.

She's retired for a while now so there should be more then enough information available. Also a pretty damn nice plane to make as in something that comes from europe instead of Russia or the US. She also introduces some EU weapons into the series.

Discuss please :)

Sure it's a nice plane, but it's role is fairly limited IMHO (strike?) - also, adding a whole host of new weapons that only one aircraft would really use ATM is quite a fair investment of development time. If they were to go Euro, I'd argue more for something from the Dassault stable (ie Mirage of some kind - F1 and 3 for example, they saw a lot of service around the globe)

As it stands now, I reckon they've got their hands full anyway - my 2c.

I would disagree that it's a bad idea to add weapons that "only one aircraft can use". After all, the only (DCS) aircraft that uses the Vikr right now is the Black Shark, and the only one that uses Maverick is the A-10.

The weapons will need to be built eventually, and that aside, many of them likely have very similar performance envelopes to existing weapons: I can't see it terribly difficult designing a new free-fall bomb, for example- you just tweak the drag and explosion power variables, throw on a new 3D model, and you're done. I can't imagine an R550 Magic performs much different from a Sidewinder- and even less so the Russian and Chinese reverse-engineered Sidewinders!

At any rate, I agree Jaguar is a dead sexy airplane- and while it's role may be somewhat limited (light strike/ CAS), and French Jaguars did the SEAD role (I know enough folk around here have clamoured for a SEAD bird!). At any rate, it's certainly less role-limited than the KA50 or A-10!

Also, the over-wing heater rails are dead sexy ;)

I think the RAF Jags could've done SEAD aswel...

Strike yea but I doubt it was a good CAS plane..

I love to Jag to bits and would fly it all the time... awesl as the T-brick..

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I for one would hope that for ED developed modules, they adopt a "one for each" approach to aircraft development. They say the next aircraft is an American multi-role? That's fine, then why not make the next aircraft after that a Russian multi-role? After that a NATO air superiority fighter, then an Eastern air superiority. So on....

It's mostly driven by what aircraft they can get sufficient information on to be able to model to DCS standards. For the most part, that seems to be dependent on having an operator or manufacturer contract ED for a training simulator, which gives them access to the information. Then if they're lucky, they can get permission to develop a consumer simulation using (some of) that information.

This just this camo ! The bottom one has a nice surprise ;)

Oh god not the british desert pink. It burns, it burns us! :)

NATO Fighters

Would love to see DCS do an F16 or Eurofighter with options for Aggressor Sqdns and paint schemes and also the ability to use the laser weapons that they use in the training excercises so that you can watch back your performance with an evaluation etc.

Everyone forgets about the other fighting aircraft that are very capable. All we seem to get are American fighters and while I would love to see an F16 there are so many other planes that deserve a shot.

This game/DCS World has so much potential for a vast NATO airforce Multiplayer community:

1. Eurofighter Typhoon

2. Panavia Tornado GR4/F3 (this is a MUST)

3. Mirage 2000

4. Rafale

5. Westland Lynx/Wildcat

6. Hawker Hunter

7. English Electric Lightning

8. Mig 29

9. SU35

10. AH64 (as and apponent for the Russian helos)

Maybe #8 is present in some NATO countries but I am almost sure #9 is not.

I meant as an opponent sorry forgot to put that in brackets ;)

Just fed up of every game being US or USSR planes...Boring after a while.
