Except Roswell is in New Mexico, some 650 miles away from the closest point of Nevada

On a side note, it would be cool if ED ended up modelling the entirety of the continental United States.

When i read this thread, the name was next DCS aircraft wish list, but we can wish what we want, the "fixed wing aircraft" is on the way, I think we can create a thread about speculation, but if GG"TeaserFromHell"Tharos come in, we are going to see again a great brainstorming :D

To remain on-topic, just start to bring your wishes for your preferred opposing aircraft to the unknown US fixed wing!

Su-27SMK or Su-30 here! :)

The competition for military contracts seems fierce...

Link

The Air Force's first Mission Training Center simulator is being set up here as part of a $109.1 million contract with L-3 Link Simulation and Training.

The F-16 MTC includes four high-definition simulators, each enclosing an F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter cockpit within a 360-degree display dome linked to networked simulation computers. Each cockpit can fly solo or with others on virtual missions, enabling a broad range of training, tactics validation and mission rehearsal options.

Nellis Air Force Base's long-range plan includes adding additional MTC simulators for other platforms, such as the F-15E Strike Eagle and F-35 Lightning II, while linking the virtual joint terminal attack controller trainer and other simulators already present at Nellis AFB into the MTC's virtual battle space.

I think most people would be much happier with the entire middle east, considering this is a combat simulation series

Not me - the US as a country pretty much has the most diverse landscape on the planet... I wouldn't even mind a fake country a la ArmA 2. I don't really care at all about what name you give the terrain I'm flying around, I care more about what it looks like and what my options are for diversity :)

Me, I just wish our terrain looked like FSX.

Errrm, I think you have this already and it's called FSX ;)

How about Slaperondeassikstan? :smilewink: If ED wanted to be super uber cool, they could drop a new map with each new module, or at least continue the Nevada tradition of making them a pay for add-on option.

I would love to see alternating fixed wing/rotary wing releases. That being said I would love to see a AH1Z reference sim, or an MI24 Hind sim. Think of the missions you could generate for that airframe.

Probably 100% identical to the missions you can fly with the KA-50 :p

Next DCS Title - my two cents worth ...

Hello folks of ED Forums,

As a long time player of ED sims (started way back with Flanker for DOS!!!) I have always been amazed/dazzled by the beauty and depth of ED sims ... DCS - A10c is the pinnacle of that development arc. Truely a deep and engaging sim ... well done ED!

So what to develop next - that is the question.

Realizing that our niche hobby may require developers to piggy back development of entertainment software with more commercial projects I would be very happy with a Super Hornet simulation. Best of both worlds: fighter and ground-pounder in one package plus carrier ops as a bonus!

I would just like to add this one thought: please, if there is a viable commercial opportunity, don't forget those excellent Russian aircraft that the earlier products were built upon. Aircraft like SU-25t. I fly this a/c almost as much as the A-10 ... I like the speed of the SU-25t! :D

"Thanks" - to the ED team for providing me with so many years of superb entertainment.

With the Hind you could have troop insertion/extractions, resupply, etc. Try doing that with the 50 :-P hehehe

I would be thrilled if we got any of these

F-16

F-15C

F-15E

i would be ok if we got a hornet. i am really hoping for an eagle or viper.

One thing I am really looking forward to in the next DCS fighter module is the advanced flight model. I want to get to know all the little nuances of supersonic flight, and the sheer maneuverability of whatever fighter it turns out to be.

I dont think there will be too many nuances at all. Your not gonna be flying the plane, the onboard computer is (fly by wire)
