Hmmn, let me see, DCS a ground attack series so far, helicopter aerodynamics already coded and rely on contract work for the military. My money lies on the Apache ah64.

I would also be surprised if at least some of the team weren't working on it now.

Are you serious? :fear::)

So none of the BS code is portable or applicable to the ah64? I thought maybe blade aerodynamics had been modelled and would therefore apply to any heli with tweaking of course?

Sure, the physics are there. That doesn't make things easy.

Didnt say they would be. Having 'not' said that however, it should make things easier.

How would you model front and back seats of any jet? Have the AI fly the jet when you switch to the back seat position?

How did Jane's F-15 did it?

And if you read a little bit you will see that both seats do the same things except that back seat doesn't have many a2a instruments and HUD

And also if it is a F-15E or other 2-seat-A/G and the front and back seats are operational, i would like to have multiplayer option for 2 players in one plane

:) that would be just fun

It would be fun, but might be tough for majority of the consumer market to find/trust/fly with a dedicated 2nd person. Some of us have buddies who fly with us, some don't. I don't unfortunately, none of my friends are into flight sims at ALL...(lamers) lol.

Janes isn't DCS either so because Jane's did it in their version of the F-15 don't expect that to be up to ED standards ;).

BUT HELL yes, it would be fun and they may be able to TOTALLY do it. It's just not safe to assume Jane's did it their way means ED will do it for DCS series :)

What about an assign/unassignable AI unit. Which is always present to do the RIO's Job in Singleplayer. But in Multiplayer the AI could easily been deactivated to be replaced by a human...wouldn't that been possible?

RIO´s
what the heck is this supposed to be?? Why are the Aposthrophies no more accepted in this forum?

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Yeah, thats how Arma 2 does it. In AH-64, if your the pilot, Ai is the gunner, and if your the gunner, Ai is the pilot. It gets a little weird sometimes, but it works. If your gunner, you've got to tell the Ai pilot where you want to go, and when to slow, hover, etc. It could be done in DCS.

I didn't want to be mean abt what jane's did and what ed does.

The point is that, something happened once, can be done again (and by ED a lot better so far)

second point, I really want F-15E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The most interesting aspect is how these rumors start. "OMG high poly Strike Eagle model in Warthog, that MUST be the next flyable then!!!1", even though ED's never stated that the Strike Eagle is a possible candidate for an iteration in the DCS-series.

The mind will interpret almost anything and everything when it doesn't have the answers...look at religion...........................ops I WENT there...

JK please dont' hang me.

It's fun to look for clue's and hidden meanings into things...isn't it? Passes the time and gives semi answers to possibilities.

Bottom line...the nature of our species DOES NOT LIKE the unknown. We will do anything to fill that void...nothing is worse than something. Just look at "The Never Ending Story" (which did end by the way) ... the "NOTHING" was the BIG MEAN villain. "THE NOTHING....THE NOOOOOTHINNNNNNG".

Okay I need :helpsmilie:

forgive me, this is a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY important week for me and I'm getting all my forum time out now :pilotfly:.

It would be "INTERESTING" if ED could give us a list of a 5 possible aircrafts... and we could duke it out for which one we THINK it is. THAT would be cool. ;)

Could at least give us a clue if it was a PLANE  or a helicopter .........

Yep, the same thing happened in lomac and FC1. People thought the F-18 was going to be the next flyable because of the same reasons. Did we ever get a flyable F-18.......nope, nada, nothing. All we can do is wait and see what's next and not speculate.

But in that case it did exist intention from ED to model F-18 in Lockon, but US NAVY made things difficult to them. There were several topics in the old forum with the complete history.

I never saw a thread where ED said they were going to model the F-18 as a flyable aircraft.
