Personally, I'm with SpeedLink SL-8736 but if you want quality - check Sennheiser

I tried few full-ear-coverage models in shop and they are comfortable, have build quality and sounds nice. Even cheap ones are solid ones :D

I wear this:

I bought it for about 8 Euros and it works well, even after 2 years.

Good sound quality (imho) and are quite comfortable.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

Still miss my Plantronics Gamecom 367, lovely headset but it met an early unexpected and yet unexplained death.

Now I use Creative Fatal1ty gaming headset or whatever it's called. Wouldn't recommend it unless you've got very small ears..

loudspeakers are best solution!) but in case of TrackIR use?

you have to wear a cap or how do you fix the pro clip or vector expansions, so for me is best solution to wear my chinese headset!)

I have these http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/efhpa2/home.aspx They sound excellent, but what I have found is that nice big headphones can be fatiguing after a while. So, instead I use my surround speakers. Then for Teamspeak I use a very light set of Logitech headphones with a mic and TrackIR. Only the TS sound goes to the headphones and game sound goes to the surround sound speakers. Now I just use the Turtlebeach for quiet music listening.

I liked the TurtleBeach that Crunch owns... Didn't even noticed TurtleBeach was still in activity.

The fact it has several speakers, like the Zalman, but also built-in mic, unplug connector for the headset, individual volume control for each channel and split connectors so I can plug my 5.1 externals and switch between them seamlessly... Perfect!

Only problem... doesn't ship directly to South America. But I'll keep looking around to see if I can find them... or a similar one.

Me, I'm possibly bucking up for one o' these:

http://www.hifiklubben.se/produkter/hogtalare/system/dali_concept-6_hogtalarsystem.htm

I apologize for the thread hijack/derail, but I'm VERY much against primarily using headphones (unless they happen to outperform your speakers - as is the case with my laptop, wonder of wonders). The temptation to evangelize was just too great for me...

But, more to the point: If I DO ever use headphones while playing (or general computer usage), I'm quite satisfied with my Denon ADH-1001, or whatever they're called. Not the most comfortable, not the cream of the cream, but they are GOOD. It was such a rush to actually hear the harpist's every little pluck when trying them out with a Harry Potter soundtrack...

I have nothing against Sennheiser, but if you're going for the good stuff anyway, why limit yourself with a "gamer"-design? They have quite a respectable output in the more serious listening business, I understand.

I have that TB headset. Love them. The Surround really seems to work, even though connoiseurs say it shouldn't. I hear footsteps move around in COD5 and raindrops in all differnt directions in Crysis etc. Very immersive.

Woofers take a little getting used to, but they are not bad. No headset can do what a real woofer can, but it is a lot better than vanilla stereo headphones. Besides, I think a headset is the best for flight sims. I never use my surround speakers for my flight sims. It just doesn't feel right. Probably because in real life you'd be wearing a headset anyway.

Mic works wel too. If someone has a headset that does surround better than these, I'd buy them pronto.
