Switch state is recognized according to the latest change either on the HOTAS or in the sim. DCS Warthog will include an option to synchronize the cockpit switches to the settings on the HOTAS at mission start.

So if I understand correctly, it will operate pretty much the same way that Opencockpits manages their system, i.e. sending a command when a switch state changes rather than the Direct Input method used by windows. Do I have this right? In this case, having a cockpit switch sync command could be used for an entire pit. Very useful.

i'm just curious, are the enemies of the a10 going to be insurgents? would be nice to see a us+russia scenario rather than vs.

This only a question not a request for a term paper by developer or Beta testers :music_whistling:Thank you in advance for any answers.

Is the AN/AAR-47 used in to the AN/ALQ-213(V) EWMS system in DCS A-10C?

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

Thanks now i just have to make the EWMU panel

Interesting that in A-10 documents it is called CMSP - Countermeasures Signal Processor.

I am not sure witch documents your talking about the label i gave it is the destination of the manufacture for the contol panel. Electronic Warfare Management Unit- EWMU - for all types of aircraft in the linked brochure.

I am talking about technical orders and academics used by pilots.

1. Is the new grass only visible from close to runways or from all the map (if you are low enough)?

2. Is the switch to dx11 going well? Still on schedule? Any updates for us?

3. New producers note soon, or is that still unknown?

How will the anti-missile AI/systems/capabilites of the AAA/SAMs be modeled? There was an enormous amount of controversy over this in FC1/2 because of the overly high PK of the SAMs (some more than others, ie: optical tracked Strela or the super-human 2S6 operators) vs Mav's/ARMs.

We all know that in todays world with current capabilities of many Russian SAMs that it is very possible, though not necessarily as effective as they were in FC.

Just curious, having my Mav's plucked out of the sky by a Tung is absolutely infuriating. Perhaps realistic, but if it happened less often, it would be much more tolerable.

Hum that is interesting I my experience usually the panels are labeled as control heads or remotes and connected to radios or processors that are in other areas by cables.I am amazed that a beta tester for Ed would have access to an USAF A-10C flight manual it must very informative. Unless i have misunderstood the type of Technical order your talking about . Thanks again for the answer

Our beta testers do not have access to original A-10C documents. I am not a beta tester. I am working on A-10C avionics from the beginning, inluding the military project phase.

Extract data from the sim

Hello everybody, first post here...

I´d like to know if DCS A-10 gonna have a built-in way to extract data from the sim. Of course the idea is to build a sort of home cockpit.

I´m not familiar with Black Shark and ignore if DCS have this feature already.

Sorry if this is a double post.

Cheers and good landings !

Thanks Cat, but cannot locate this information in all those topics. I´ve read a lot for years about 'pit building and now whit the new A-10 I´m thinking to make a sort of generic glass cockpit. Of course I gonna use the Thrustmaster MDF's whit 8" LCD's or may be one or two 22" LCD with a bezel on it. Also I'd like to use one or two tactile monitors. But don't know how to group the instruments for use the less possible screens. This is why I'm asking if a extracting data sistem is alredy built in the sim and like to know in what way.

As everybody says, sorry for my poor english... It's a lot of mental work to read all that technical info and a little difficult to explain me...

Some question I have;

In FC we had the option to have our custom weapons loadout and also we could choose the livery we wanted and also the amount of fuel. In BS we have the option to talk with the maintenance guys and choose from a series of weapons loadout preset arranged by mission (CAS, Ferry, Deep strike, etc), in FC2 we have the same thing but not arranged like BS, instead we have the weapons loadout in just a menu.

My first question is, what was done or will be done in this area so online experience (and also offline) can me improved if that is possible (and I think it's always possible)?

The second question is, will there be some kind of planner integrated online? I think now is only available on single player missions.

Thank, best regards.

Short answer is yes there are methods of extracting most of the data you need. However its not as intuitive as most people would like and will require custom programming. As already mentioned, if you are serious about it, you should check out the cockpit section of the forums. Research takes time but building the pit takes longer. I can only suggest you read the forums. Myself and a few other individuals are building pits. Theres invaluable information in there. There is a program called BSVP that will display instrumentation on a seperate display.

Hello,

I am planning on building a web site with combat tales of real aviators from Operation Desert Storm I and II and military conflicts until today (not classified information about current events of course).

Therefore I look for military aviators willing to send me their stories (with audio, video, pictures if they have) and I will post them on my web site.

My goal is to present new and unique tales and offer quality stories.

NOTE: I am also looking for A-10 stories from real aviators and civilian aviators that have unusual stories to tell.

The website language will be English and possibly French. (I speak and understand both).

Don't hesitate to send me your contributions and be precise about dates, locations, types of engagements/situations and aircrafts involved.

Utimately I am planning on offering the possibility to look for combat stories visually with a world map and filtering by Time Period, or Location, or type of Combats (eg: war engagement, special ops, reconnaissance, etc)
