Echo38 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 (edited) It seems that they did already. I believe you must have "enable head movement by g forces" checked in the options. It a fairly subtle effect, but quite cool none the less On this subject, is there any way to get rid of the head's motions on the roll axis, but keep the other G-induced movements? Since I have no way of controlling my virtual head's roll axis (there are no bindable controls for this, unlike head pitch, yaw, and XYZ movement), I can't level my head with the aircraft while in a bank, the way I can in a real airplane. I don't want to turn virtual head G movement off, because it's unrealistic to be serenely sitting in the cockpit without the G's affecting the head, but neither do I want to have my head automatically tilted and held in the tilt whenever I'm in a bank, because it's unrealistic to be unable to roll my head to line it up with the aircraft. shagrat Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 (edited) No, and it almost certainly never will. No, it will work on a MAC! You need a dual boot system with something like bootcamp and an additional Windows 7 installation, of course. Apart from that the intel MACs are good, though I would advise a standard windows compatible keyboard for DCS :D edit: just to clarify - it won't run on MacOS! You need Windows installed on your Mac (HW)! snafup Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Hi. My wing man in the instant missions doesn't reply when i send messages to him. I have my spi on and still nothing when asked to engage targets. I get reports from him on tagets he finds and mud spikes and such but no response to my commands. I've watched him engage targets only after i've been taken out. It frustrating trying to do an easy mission and wanting help to clear out air defenses while trying to learn the weapons systems. I'm using the module 1.2 with dcs world. (on another topic has anyone else seen the phantom parachute that appears floating out of nowhere while doing the easy instant action mission)

DunMac Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 How do I delete personnel mission file? The title saya it all. As I was learning my way around the mission editor I saved a couple of files that are meaningless and I would like to get rid of them but can't see a way to do it. Would anyone know how to go about doing that?

Echo38 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) WildBillKelsoe, I don't know how to set tanker TACAN codes or anything (couldn't find that in the editor), but if you want a simple mission to learn the basics of refuelling, then here you go (attached to post). Tanker should be in front of you. You'll have to fly a few minutes to catch up to him. Set your AM radio to 150 (that's the frequency I set in this mission, it may be different in other missions) and tell the tanker you're coming. When he tells to you make pre-contact, fly up into close formation with him in his 2 slot, but a hundred feet below him. You need to be pretty close for him to answer your next request. Once you're there, request refuelling, and when he agrees, open your refueling door, fly up carefully, and try to hold steady while he places the boom into your receptacle. Don't try to formation fly with the boom. Formation fly with the tanker. I try not to look at the boom, but stare at the tanker and do my best to ignore the boom. Let the operator get & keep the boom in you, rather than you trying to fly the boom into you and keep it there. Every time you bungle it and the operator tells you "disconnect," you need to tap your nosewheel steering button to re-open the receptacle (you don't need to move the refueling door slipway lever a second time, until you are done refuelling). I think that covers the basics. T.B.H., I don't know much about it--I haven't done this much and I can barely take on more fuel than I lose on each disconnect.A-10C Aerial Refuelling.miz Edited September 16, 2012 by Echo38

Jumbarilla Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I've searched and found nothing, so I ask here. In training missions for A-10C in DCS World there are no voice, only subtitles. All audio options both in 1.1.1.1 and 1.2.0 are the same.

Mike Busutil Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I'd appreciate more on how to place a tanker in the mission in the first place. WildBillKelsoe, Quick and easy way. In the mission editor, Click on the aircraft icon to add an aircraft to the map. Add waypoint's for the aircraft to track. (Long straight legs) Change the aircraft type to a tanker. don't forget to set altitude and airspeed for the tanker. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Checkout my user files here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/filter/user-is-Mike Busutil/apply/

WildBillKelsoe Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 about aerial refueling * is it better to trim down and keep up with stick back or trim up and push down with stick forward? * when tanker says proceed to pre contact @ 16000, I go to 16000 and he is @ 16100. I go up to 16050 and now ready to refuel. point is, what is the range under declared pre-contact altitude for boom op to register true? like 16050~16080? thx in advance. BigfootMSR Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Wild Bill, you can add a tanker into the mission as previously described. Under advanced waypoint actions, choose perform command. From the action drop down, you should see an "ActivateTACAN" option. When you select that, you should be able to set the frequency of the TACAN channel. As far as using the TACAN to locate the tanker, I would recommend the a10 landing tutorials using the TACAN. Its the same procedures. I'm sorry I don't have them in front of me at the moment. Hope that answered your questions. 1 DCS: A10C Warthog JTAC coordinate entry training mission http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/99424/ DCS: Blackshark 2 interactive training missions http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84612
