Does the Anti-skid fall to off when you remove the appropriate electrical bus power? I know it does on the SAS-disconnect lever press. I haven't checked.

Yet another, what are the conditions for being able to delete a DSMS weapons profile?

If you pull the bottom right fuse, the Anti-Skid will not stay in the 'On' position.

Yes it does fall off without electrical power.

You can delete a weapon profile if more than one of them does exist for the same weapon. Try to copy one, and you will see the option to delete it.

quick question, so i wont make a new thread for that.

When I start the APU, whats a quick indicator to tell that it's fully started?

e.g. hornet lights a green lamp

Look at engine gage panel. The APU rpm will be 100% and APU temp will be stable. No other indication that I'm aware of.

Easy case when this isn't true: Copy a default profile, try to delete the original.

Were both profiles existing as separate entries in the profiles list? What was changed in the second profile?

When assigning keys to the Armament HUD control panel the options for GUN/PAC switch are ARM, GUNARM and SAFE but on the panel its ARM, SAFE and TRAIN.

Any reason?

Nothing Untoward.

ARM, SAFE and TRAIN refers to the Master Switch and not the GUN/PAC Switch.

Nothing to do with the actual game but out of interest purely hope its ok to ask in here. When using the two displays how does the real life pilot slew the maverick and targeting pod etc? Obviously we have the keyboard but looking around the plane i cant see how on earth they would do it...Im sure theres a simple explanation that will make me feel stupid but ive just been wondering since i had the game :D

There's a "slew hat" joystick on the backside of the throttles for pointing the various sensors. It controls whichever sensor is SOI at the time.

Yup, easy to replicate. Loaded up MK-82s on stations 4 and 8. DSMS lists a default profile of "MK-82" covering both bombs, cannot delete. Select both stations such that the profile is now the manual "M/MK-82" and create a new profile of those, default settings on the profile. New profile (I called mine TEST) is clear-able, default one is not.

Thanks for pointing this out. The problem was found and fixed. Expect it in the patch 1.1.0.9.

What is the shutdown procedure for the plane? Ive searched but didnt find anything either on here or google now i know the training helps but it froze as i landed and didnt explain to me how to do it. Is there some kind of checklist out there? I can shut down the plane to its orignal state but i think im doing it in the wrong order as i get just about every caution light flashing when i do it.

You can also take a look at my checklist(s) here. Shutdown procedure is in the landing document...

Okay, HERE'S what I've got. Is it enough to run this sim? I've been TRYING to get this thing flying for 2 days now, and the game just does not respond to any input once I'm in the cockpit. Once I even got the Windows pop up that told me DCS A10 has stopped responding...

Any clues, or do I just not have machine enough?

Thanks for any input you may have.

No it doesn't exist in real planes.

From what I do understand, padlock is some sort of (virtual) aid to provide you the ability to keep your viewpoint temporarily fixed on particular targets (may it be aircrafts or ground vehicles, as well as ships and even incoming enemy missiles for example, etc.), relative to your own aircraft.

So, if you've padlocked an enemy fighter plane that's flying toward your own position, the camera/view will automatically follow that target if it does pass you (fly-by). In such a case, your view would continually wander from originally 12 o'clock to the six o'clock position, without demand you to manually changing/moving the cameraview. Think of it as a "rubber line" between your view and the selected object.

It should especially be helpful if you don't have a headtracking device. But even if you got one, it could still be helpful to sucessfully evade incoming missiles, as they are usually to small and to fast to properly recognize them while maneuvering your airplane. Except you're watching out for approaching smoke trails as an indicator maybe.

Hopefully I'm not talking completely non-sense. :music_whistling:
