WildFire Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Ive checked through literally a billion aerial refueling threads... It seems like the topic that just keeps on giving... Anyhow Ive been doin a lot of it in MP lately, is there a max that shell take from the tanker or is it possible to top the tanks? I have probably refueled about 5 times in a couple days and she never seems to take much more than 4K. Just now I was hooked up for about a minute and I just watched as it sat on 4K, latched and solid... Getting from 2000 or less to 4000 has no problems. It refuels just fine when Im getting low. but an extra 1000 or so could really help... Any ideas?

98abaile Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 How long do the missions usually run? Well consider that the A-10 was designed to have a 2 hour loiter time, is capable of air to air refuelling and that you can always rearm back at your air base, it's really up to the mission designer.

Eggcake Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I didn't want to create a thread for that but: Where can I rearm/refuel at Vaziani? I did the mission "In The Weeds" yesterday and was out of ammo for the last 2 waypoints with targets. I went back to Vaziani to rearm and refuel but I just couldn't find a spot where I got an answer from the ground crew. I did it right for sure, as I did it several times on other airports.

If anyone can point me where I can rearm and refuel I would be grateful. I also tried it at the other end of the runway where I definitely started at several missions...

As long as you have correct frequencies and use the correct radio, you should be able to communicate with ground crew. Eggcake Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 (edited) Pushed the INT button, and selected also "INT" on that wheel. Either something is messed up or I messed up. But it works on other airports without any problems... And it's really news for me that you can just open the canopy with engines shut down. That's a really nice idea of ED! :) Just tested it and it works. Didn't test it on the mission though Edit: Okay, there is something wrong with the "In the Weeds" mission. If I try to rearm at vaziani with a custom mission there is no problem. It definitely isn't working in that particular mission if I RTB to rearm and refuel... :( Edited June 14, 2011 by Eggcake
bluepilot76 Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 In the campaign Devils Cross I am sure I have rearmed from both of the obvious aprons at Vaziani, ie the two closest to the runway at each end. I had a theory that it matters which way you are heading, I always aim the nose away from the runway towards the back of the apron and that seems to work (I found I couldnt rearm the the other way round at Batumi, I needed to be pointing towards the tower with the trucks in front of me) Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ...
