Don't worry, the changes are minimal.

 

The hype about Win7 being so much better and different than Vista is just :doh:

 

If you want to check that yourself, check the version number of your Windows 7-files and upgrades: It's Windows 6.1 :megalol:

(Win 6 = Vista)

mmmmm faster, less resource hungry. Win 7 is superior to xp --> vista in every single way althiughy upgrading from vista @ £150+ would be a tough sale as i got mine cheap. would'nt go back though

Windows 7 is a Vista patch, but because of all the bad hype about vista, MicroSoft were afraid of anyone buying it so they called it " Windows 7 ":thumbup:

ME had nothing to do with XP. ME was last DOS based Windows, XP was next Windows in NT line. Vista -> 7 situation is completely different.

No. The difference between XP and 9x line is that 9x line is a 16/32bit hybrid OS that work as an extention of the underlaying dos core. Dos core was written in basic. That's the reason while you can boot back to dos in 9x line and not in NT line.

 

XP uses NT 5.1 Kernel. NT is written solely in C/C++, is a pure 32bit OS, and is not based on dos. It is a totaly different OS architecture.

next Windows in NT line is Windows 2000

 

You can take XP as a next step in 9x line only if you take it from the aimed market perspective (home users).

Source wise is XP core is based on the NT line. XP and 2000 are much much much closer than XP and 98. XP was also the sucessor of 2000 in the market of workstations.

LOL who told you that man..I was told by many experts...that Win7 is a patch for Vista's problems...and was to correct them..but Marketing advised Management to rename it to Win7 to reduce the backlash..of " Vista "...

 

So to me what you are saying is that they release the patch which is " Vista " before they released Win7...that makes no sense...Vista was to be a full launch with other updates..but it failed..so MS had to rethink their solution...and did a redo..of whole OP..and named it Win7 to reclaim the public and defuse the dismay of Vista...

 

Thats all I have to say on this...cause I know you believe you will have more infinite wisdom than me...or so you think...but whatever....

Well, I believe that M$ has committed to many mistakes in business that eventually people has developed to many parallel theories ! Even IT professionals have deferent theories about M$. It’s to common.

 

I really don't believe that I have an infinite Wisdom, It just happen to be 20 years in IT business.

 

I thought I could express my opinion, and argue without been personally attacked, but lately I have realized that most of the members of this forum lack of at least basic manners.

 

In every thread you can find little brats that insult others without even able to express opinion.

 

Sadly this forum starts to become the kingdom of irony. LOL and bullshit like this are visible everywhere.
