TonyP Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 It's been about two weeks, an update should be coming soon.
Steel Jaw Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 No rush. They'll tell us when they're ready. I am happy just to get my hands on the manual and to start learning the avionics. TonyP Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 Looking at some of the vids. Man, there seems to be a lot of buttons to hit to drop ordinance, fire the cannon, etc. Lot of stuff to read is an understatement.

dave4002000 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Amazing how fast the "When will it be released?" threads turn into "Where's the beta update?" threads. I can only imagine the threads that are going to be created when the update isn't released two weeks and one hour after the initial release. I love the information that's available and shared on this forum. It's just getting harder and harder to find it because of all of these types of threads. USAF Bomber Avionics Specialist, Ret. GunnDawg Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Just be glad we have a beta to play right now, and let them work on and release updates when they are ready. 1

ED Team Wags Posted October 17, 2010 ED Team Posted October 17, 2010 We will try to release updates approximately every two weeks. Again, approximately. If we don't have a stable and good build to base an update on, then it will go longer. Grimes Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 They could release the latest version, but for all we know it might have broken something else entirely. That's software development. Just be glad you can play a beta that doesn't actually have an official release date. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. David A Sell Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I couldnt agree more, Leave the devs alone.. 10 hours of play time and the most I have done is learn to fire up the hog and do a landing pattern... talk about depth, this thing is going to take months to master. baksie Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I agree. I spend every night about 2 ~ 3 hours flying, reading, flying, reading. And I still have a lot to learn. Lol. And I thought how hard could it be compared to DCS:BS. Its 2 to 3 times longer curve to learn all. GunnDawg Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Oh an active TS flying DCS A10 sounds like a good time. I have just gotten up to par with marking and dropping 4 JDAMS on one pass and think I could be an asset in multiplayer :)
MemphisBelle Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 No rush. They'll tell us when they're ready. I am happy just to get my hands on the manual and to start learning the avionics. Absolute agreeing with you. I spend several hours to figure the DWS/TWS/Coolyhead possibilities and assigned all these functions to my Stick (X-52pro). That works now pretty well, and I am glad as a little child what´s possible. The only thing what interesst me is, as I customized the Key settings, will they be the same after an update, or will they get restored back to default?
