Direwolf Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 The spam issue was around well before this version. It requires adjusting the spam settings on the server to get rid of; at this point I am exploring ways to minimize the inter-client traffic, but I suspect this will always be a factor. As the release announcement says, the radio frequencies in the control panel are an as of yet unactivated feature. Everything on the A-10 is supposed to be working as it did before. As an aside: Out of everyone who has reported problems with the new release, and despite clear instructions to the contrary, only two people--two, out of everyone--have actually submitted anything resembling a log. Are the channels (right and left) supposed to be working ? Like I said before, I can have this functionality working, but I have to go to TS3 settings, plugins, uncheck TARS box, and check it again, while DCS is running. And that´s not how it worked before, when you set the radios channels once in TARS Control Panel, and you never had to set it anymore.
Esac_mirmidon Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Also i can´t read anything official from the TARS developer about Su-25T functionality. It works with actual release version? We must wait a little more to have Su-25T radio working properly? We are doing something wrong in our squad? " You must think in russian.." Headspace Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012 We must wait a little more to have Su-25T radio working properly? Yes. I hope I was clear in the initial announcement that this is the case. If it wasn't clear, I apologize. Don't worry. The plan is to have ALL of the FC3 aircraft working with TARS in one way or another.

So evidently they're not--at the moment. This is the first issue being dealt with currently so please be patient. The transition over to World involved completely re-writing the DCS-side interface to fold everything under one umbrella.
Esac_mirmidon Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Thanks Headpace for your hard work. We are waiting for a full integration and enjoy TARS as intended. 1 " You must think in russian.." I really appreciate your work, and I imagine how hard is to get the things working alltogether. Take your time to do what adjustments you need to, I just wanted to know if this was a problem of my equipment, or something related to the program. Now that I know, I won´t bother you anymore. Thanks for this product. It changed the way we fly!

Kaiza Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Here is the location: When in doubt: All logs. But in this particular case, the most relevant logs would be the ones created by the Teamspeak 3 plugin that are stored in \Users\<YourName>\AppData\Local\TARS. Col.Flanders Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 (edited) Headspace, love your work! I've tried searching but there's a ton to go through - is it possible to use TARS to communicate between the aircraft and a Combined Arms user in a JTAC vehicle for example? We've tested and although the JTAC can hear TARS transmissions, he can't respond. We thought a reasonable workaround for now would be to use the standby channel as dedicated user JTAC channel but no joy so far - same thing as before. Text messages from a JTAC user are not ideal. Headspace Posted October 30, 2012 Author Posted October 30, 2012 Locations of all of the log files are listed in the "Report Bugs" section of the TARS website. Not yet but we are working on a way to make this possible.

fangav Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Yes. 3.0.9.2 works with latest tars. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
july865 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 still having issues assigning ptt even on 3092. logs sent via website. Asus x99, i7 5930k, 32g mem, MSI 1070GTX, 970 Samsung M.2, LG 35in Ultra-Wide, TrackIR 4 Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Paganus Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) Check TS3 for your PTT issue. In Settings / Options / Hot Keys, you'll see a drop-down in the lower right corner (above the "Apply" key). Set that to "Keyboard & Mouse Only". That seems to have resolved my PTT issue (so far). and/or If you run the sim with an admin login, make sure you run TS3/TARS the same. Edited November 2, 2012 by Paganus
Shaman Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 When I switch Capture Profile from my default one "DCS" to any other one in TS3, TARS' RADIO1-3 PTT binds quit to work. Why is it so? Does TARS "locked into" only default Capture Profile? How to change that? How to make it work selectable on multiple Capture Profiles of choice? 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
july865 Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 finally resolved. for me, i had to completely uninstall everything. including removing any registry entries for both, TARS and TS3, remove any and all directories that were created by TS3 and TARS. install in order, TS3 and ensure all was functioning and recognizing all key and JS presses. then installed TARS. as a note. i have tried the typical uninstall from the control panel of all apps. but there were SOME remnants of TS (not sure about TARS) that was making my life miserable. cleaning out EVERYTHING solved it. Headspace Posted November 6, 2012 Author Posted November 6, 2012 For those having PTT problems, which of your applications (DCS, TS3) if any are running as Admin? That might be a big factor here.
Stuka Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Are more people seeing the problem that since the new TS & TARS persons get "local muted" on your side? Windows 11 | i9 12900KF | 64GB DDR4 | RTX 3090 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals | TM MFDs + Lilliput 8" | TIR5 Pro
fangav Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Yes . I'm see that. Also sometimes dropping TS when using Tars when I get killed/Die. Which seems to be a new thing for me. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Col.Flanders Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Are more people seeing the problem that since the new TS & TARS persons get "local muted" on your side? Was just about to post this. Yes, exactly. Often even before a session, someone will join our TS channel and will be muted and will need to be right-click > unmuted. This can be a problem with 1.2.1's dislike for the common or garden alt-tab.
Headspace Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 If you see that, send me the log. Teamspeak 3 occasionally changes the way muting is handled. Try reproducing it and tell me how you did.
