TrackIR 5.1 (beta 2) software released, with 64-bit support

TrackIR 5.1 (beta 2) software released with 64-bit support (good for A-10C!).

For relevant details (and any comments) please refer to this thread (in the hardware section of these forums):

Apologies in advance for the re-post with link, thought it might be *very* relevant for A-10C users who might not see the hardware thread.

It should still work inspite of, but not so ( here ). I downloaded, uninstall previous version, install beta 5.1 and nothing. Even before starting any sim I should still be able to open and check if working. Well it's not.

THIS SUCKS!!!!!

Right when I'm getting ready to leave for Afghanistan, things are coming together. Alas, the beta has been fun and I look forward to flying the finished product when I get back...

Although it (5.1BETA) should support TIR3, it doesn't find my device.

Anyone else?

Quick question guys..

How long do you think it takes to become acclimated to using TrackIR? I don't have it yet but it's high on my list along with a Warthog HOTAS setup.

I appreciate the notion guys, but I've been out of the military since 2004. I'm going over as a DOD-Contractor to maintain military intra/internetworks.

It does take a while. My own experience I got a sore neck and shoulders until I realized not to tense up so much while trying to point the TrackIR. Once you are used to using a TrackIR you cannot go back - it is definitely a 'game changing' technology.
