Nate--IRL-- Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 It's not DCS. The DTS trainer was for normal computers, not a full simulator. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading

mtuckner Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Knowing what I know now, I would love a spin in that simulator. I wonder how I would do on a real life scenario. Question for Matt, how is spotting vehicles and weapons on the ground compare to DCS. Is visual ID similar, or do they have some other system to simulate eyesight being more keen than monitor resolution allows for (size of display combined with resolution).
Le0kong Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 I don't understand the logic in comparing theses sims. All three sims, that from Lockheed, the military versions of DCS, and the public version of DCS, have very different purposes. And it surprises me that some really find that satellite imagery in the ground better than the way it is done in DCS. It remembers me of the fighting games in the 90's using pictures of actors as sprites of the characters it is horrible. For me what i want is that cockpit but with DCS loaded instead. mavyalex Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 I see that a lot of people are having issues with their wives and freeing time to play DCS:-A-10C...Maybe we should set up a DCS Online Dating Club for men and women playing DCS games so that there will be no issues at all? (everybody will be a fan od DCS games in this club ) :-) On a more serious note: I sometimes worry that terrorists could use DCS simulators to train to start and fly, and land stolen jets, like terrorists used Microsoft Fligh Simulator(from what I heard) to train on flying commercial jets for the well known September 11th 2001 attack. What do you think of this issue? "Always check your 6 o'clock if you want to live!"
