Also one other thing, you need to double check the spelling of 'temp textures' in the rar, DCS World will only recognise the correct spelling of 'TempTextures' Edited December 5, 2012 by Mustang

Xeno426 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I'm converting a few custom textures for your model to FC3 standards, and I noticed you don't have a liveries entry for changing the numbers texture, Killermachine_number. Is it possible to specify a custom number texture without a modification of the model, e.g. simply add a new line to the description.lua file that points to the material using that texture?

It seems I'm missing textures but I fully installed the SU-33. I did not install combatace's other model the SU-30. I put 3 TGA textures in temptextures. The tail one works the ones on the wings work but the halo effect is missing textures. Speed is life !!!

Double check your DCS World directory, i bet you that theres a 'temp textures' folder and a 'TempTextures' folder, the former is incorrect and is a typo, place 'ns_green1.tga' 'ns_RED1.tga' and 'ns_white1.tga' into TempTextures.

Hi Mustang, I wish that was the case. I made sure that I over wrote every single file and double checked the description.lua file for my skins and checked the default skin too. Unfortunately I still have this strange issue, just like Esac_mirmidon Speed is life !!!
speckfire Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Ok fixed it. Yes there were 2 textures missing it seems. In the directory TempTextures make a copy the 2 following files: ns_green1 and ns_RED1 (Do not Delete !!!) Rename the new copies to: (keeping the naming convention) ns_green and ns_RED And voila !!!! Speed is life !!!

Mine were in the correct folder (TempTextures) but it looked like I was missing 2 textures. Here is what I'm talking about. I had to copy and rename 2 files. This fixed it: If not this would happen below . Notice you still see the wing lights but surrounded my a missing texture. What I think is that the material name for the lights on the wing might be incorrect. It looks like the wing lights are assigned 2 textures which should have the same material name, but in this case are not. Only the white tail light is.
