bob_baer Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Hi guys, does anybody else have problem arming EAC? I click on the lever but it comes back. Only in flight it's working but sometimes it disables without reason Thanks Ciao
MTFDarkEagle Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Is your INS fully alligned? I.e. "INS NAV READY" flashing on the CDU? Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
Joker73 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 You must waiting about 4 minutes to allign your Ins Nav , when is it ready and is still flashing you can arm EAC [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic79263_7.gif[/sIGPIC]
rud Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Also you need to have all four SAS switches on to engage the EAC switch
Bahger Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Aren't you supposed to arm it when it's not flashing? Question: Do you need to be still parked when you engage the EAQC, or can you save time by doing it holding short of the runway?
effte Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 (edited) The INS will align in flight if it has to, so you do not have to wait for INS READY prior to taxi. It just takes significantly longer to align than if you are parked, and the resulting drift will be probably be worse - I expect by a lot. Not much of an issue if you have GPS available, but when you don't... MTFDarkEagle Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Yeah, but for that you have to keep a very steady speed/altitude/heading. Highly recommended would be to fully allign on the ground. And it doesn't matter when you turn your EAC switch on or off. It just arms/disarms the system. Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread

Question: Do you need to be still parked when you engage the EAQC, or can you save time by doing it holding short of the runway? No, when is shows the steady INS NAV READY the INS is partially aligned; it begins to flash when it is fully aligned. jireland607 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I find as soon as I start to taxi I can switch the EAC on, same time that the TAD starts to display after starting on the ramp ______________________________________________________________________________________ AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.4 Ghz | 8GB DDR3 Dual Channel | Ati HD4850 XFX | 22" Samsung TFT & NEC 17" touchscreen
Sepdawg Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I've noticed the same thing. Cant activate the PAC until I've come airborne. Strange since the documents seem to indicate that I should be able to while still on deck:cry:
Mugenjin Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 You sure you mean PAC? Anyway wait for alignment T 4.0 0.8 then press NAV and you can arm EAC.
Kenan Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 No, when is shows the steady INS NAV READY the INS is partially aligned; it begins to flash when it is fully aligned. ("T 4.0 0.8") While on ground, for me it stays at 1.4.7.2 and doesn't change when it reaches that value. I have all the systems enabled, the EAC light is the only one that's still ON on lower right hand panel. It does correct itself during flight but only after some time. Soo..what am I doing wrong? Maybe that's causing my INS ALIGNEMENT to be stuck? Should I wait for the alignement and THEN hit the NAV key? 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . -NFlight- Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Perhaps some people are being misled by the fact that the BIT prompts on the HUD tell you to "Arm EAC" long before it's capable of being armed... add it to the list. Should I wait for the alignement and THEN hit the NAV key? Yes. Wait for "INS NAV READY" to flash. I've also noticed that if you start rolling it can automatically go to "NAV" and halt the alignment, so as Mugenjin said "Keep waiting, do not taxi." Edited March 13, 2011 by BiPod

Should I wait for the alignement and THEN hit the NAV key? Hey, I had some problems with this for a while...In order to get it right every time do this... Start engines blah blah blah *DO NOT MOVE!!!* Run EGI and CDU Set time irl or on the timer... Wait 4 minutes and 30 seconds...Then it'll be flashing with NAV Ready 4.0.0.8 Press NAV on the CDU Arm all the EAC Channels EAC will now work when you flick the behind throttle switch :-) Intel i7 6700k, Asus GTX1070, 16gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz, CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Rudder Pedals, Samsung Evo 850 SSD @ 500GB * 2, TrackIR 5 and 27" monitor running at 2560 * 1440, Windows 10.

StrongHarm Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Ask for ground power and you can start aligning immediately, before even switching on the lights. I don't do anything with electronics until I'm fully aligned. *Arm ejection seat *Ground power on *Start alignment *Lights *Enviro *Radios *Start APU and engines *Wait for alignment to finish *Switch from ground to NAV *DTS upload *BITS test I've found that there are fewer CCIP and DTSAS errors this way. It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

bob_baer Posted March 13, 2011 Author Posted March 13, 2011 Uhm... I don't know how to post a track..? can you help me?
159th_Viper Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Run the mission and once you are done, hit the Esc key to quit. You will have a box with the option to 'Save Track'. Follow the prompts and save the track to the Tracks folder in your C:\Users\Username\Saved Games\DCS:Warthog\Tracks folder. When you post a reply on the forum you will notice the paperclip icon on the top toolbar. Click it and hit the 'Choose File' box. Navigate to your track location as described above and select. Click the 'Upload' box and wait for track to upload. Once uploaded, you will be able to embed the link by clicking on the paperclip icon again and selecting the track you uploaded by clicking on it - it will then automatically paste the link in your reply.
