Geraki Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 What about GFX engine ..the fps increased grader than > 60 ?
159th_Viper Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 What about GFX engine ..the fps increased grader than > 60 ? Why? On the vast majority of LCD monitors FPS will be capped at 60 in any event (refresh rate of monitor). If you are struggling with FPS, lower/adjust your settings accordingly - scalability is there for that very reason: to cater for, within reasonable parameters, the broadest spectrum of needs . Kankkis Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 (edited) With vsync it is not even possible get over 60fps and secondly you don't even need over 60fps, better is actually lock max frames about steady 30fps, better than jumping 20-60 fps. Cannot wait for cockpit shadows ;) Edited May 12, 2011 by Kankkis
Druid_ Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 (edited) "Reduced probabilities for cockpit random failures. Random failure for gun and CICU was added" Seriously? I was hoping we were moving away from these unexplained random failures.. not adding to the possibility of more things breaking for no reason. Other than that, :) this patch looks to be stellar. agreed, please make this an option. RL is frustrating enough for me, I don't need it in DCS too, thanks. Has the ME received any love and attention? +1 on multiplayer comms, would be most welcome, hopefully slated for a patch soon? CarneyUK Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 • Muliplayer users spawning at same location fixed. Looking forward to this one.....nothing worse than a just finishing a full start up then getting taken out just before you start to taxi LOL Great job ED!! :D "The sky is not the limit.....it's my playground!!" @paraglidecass
Nu-NRG Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Looking good! Looking forward to it! Tho some things are not in the patch (subject to change - preliminary) like flir and some other things ... but hey, it is NOT the last patch :D Keep up the good work ED! Aviate - Navigate - Communicate
harleyblue Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 and the NEt config for JTAC And the fix for AI tanker? In multy the Tanker after refuel the first A10C, it's turn with 60° of bank and go to 250 kias +/-. And all flight run rear of the tanker for rejoin. It's impossible to refuel. We are very tried It's a problem for all mission in multy. The ED now this great problem? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
andysim Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 yes there is no mention of the bug with the tanker so has it been fixed? After an AI unit ends refueling the tanker continues in the same direction untill it goes off the map. It never returns to its holding point or RTBs. It never responds after, like its stuck.
MagnumHB Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 agreed, please make this an option. RL is frustrating enough for me, I don't need it in DCS too, thanks. Thirded. Frankly, I'm not sure why this hasn't been an option from the start. I would be surprised if the code doesn't already have a way to turn it off for debugging/testing purposes. Anyway, I'm happy to see a clarification on the Maverick Slave all to SPI issue.

coolts Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 agreed, please make this an option. RL is frustrating enough for me, I don't need it in DCS too, thanks. Agreed. Please make "random failures" a menu choice as some of us only get a few hours a week to fly and after organising a MP flight, sorting life/wife stuff and securing those precious hours, there is NOTHING more frustrating than a random MCFD failure or somesuch. It has spoilt a few flights for me. Amazing progress though. goldfinger35 Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Yup. Just like bird strikes. It is very similar. i7 920@4.0Ghz, 12 GB RAM, ATI 4890, LG L246WHX@1920x1200, Saitek X52 Pro, Saitek pro flight rudder pedals, TrackIR4, Audigy 2ZS, Logitech G9x, Vista 64bit.
McVittees Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I had no idea there were random failures by default. Quite like it myself - opportunity to use emergency procedures drills and such. Would be nice if the event log at the end of the game stated you'd had failure. I know most of the time if something doesn't work my squad mates start griping 'bug!' SmokeyTheLung Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I should buy some lottery tickets, because I never seem to get these random failures. Can some one explain what the bird strike slider does in the options menu? I thought that was for random failures 1 System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer

I thought that was for random failures At low altitudes, there's a chance to injest a bird (no indication aside from random engine flameout and failure, not even in the log afterwards). Bird slider adjusts that chance. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Bird slider adjusts that chance. Since we can adjust it, I have it at 200% and NEVER had a bird strike. 112th_Rossi Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Never had a bird strike before. Is there any sound effects? Like 'BOKAAAARRRKK' as it gets swallowed by the engine and feathers on the windscreen?
