Had a few minutes flight time after finishing setting up, I noticed that creating a mark point and making it the SPI, then slaving all sensors to it also resulted in the point being hooked on the TAD. Don't remember that happening before.

 

Not that it matters but I think that was happening under, at least, some circumstances with 08. I noticed a few times but never looked to see what was happening at the time.:huh:

Speaking of the new info on the ME, what are the weird black circles randomly scattered around? With numbers like 1422 over them?

 

Do you mean the dotted circles? If so, they look like NDBs to me. Perhaps they are implementing the DF capability, or gearing up for KA50 compatibity...

I hope this KA-50 compatibility patch wouldn't downgrade the A-10C (like the Lockon patch did to the KA-50 IMHO).

Just checked on the off chance, and no DF isnt working.

 

I did notice however (and this will please all those electrical nerds) that there is a electrical diagram with bus distribution in the manual now. Is this new? Havent seen it before... Really hope they model bus failures, thatd be sweet.

CBU-97 has changed. Might be due to change of bomblet target aquisition.

 

Noticed in a mission where I normally take out 10-15 vehicles in a single pass with 6x CBU-97 (HOF 3000, 600ft). Now it's 0-5 (tested 3 times).

Targetaccuisiton of cbuBomblet is not modelled IIRC

 

yes there is a difference ... there is no longer a "difference" all cbus are working with the "blu97B"-Bomblet ... and that is the one of the CBU-87 ;-)

so no antitank CBU for now

I adressed that in another topic and warriorx told me that it is "known" .... i think they fix it in one of the upcoming patches-

 

Like the thing with the ground crew ^^ HAHAHAH thats a nice one :megalol:... u get fuel and arms AND groundpower but when ur engines are running they dont hear it if u tell em tu turn off the groundpower.

 

nice things in this patch though but sry it is 3steps forward and 2 steps back in "this patch"

Yes due to the fact that 'combat mix' is a mix of two types of projectiles, each with their own balistic properties and mass. I believe the top dot is for amour piercing, and the bottom is for high explosive.

It seems that everytime I tell my wingman to engage with gun there is no voice heard, only subtitles.
Am I the only one with this problem ? No one tested this yet ? :/

how was ka-50 downgraded?

 

there is an issue in FC2/Ka-50 multiplayer were the hosting game has an effect on the Laser Warning Receiver of the Ka-50 or the Radar Warning Receiver for anything in FC2. Basically if you host in Ka-50 the RWR doesnt work for FC2. If you host with FC2 the LWR doesnt work on the Ka-50.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

in HUD only view (ALT-F1) the entire view darkens to an ugly level, appears to be due to an HDR thing, I use the "normal" HDR setting

Yes. The CBU's are much weaker now. Not sure if it's more realistic or not. I put down a CBU-97 right on top of two APC's in Khasuri Gap and only got one. I was thinking how on earth did that one survive. I guess sometimes those bomblets miss.

That is because it was a CBU-87 you deployed a opposed to a 97. Yeah - I know it said 97.....it has however the bomblets of a 87 (BLU-97/B).

 

Known issue - the CBU-97/105 are currently being developed to accord with RL specifications as opposed to previous reiterations which were basically just a more powerful version of the 87/103.

Glad to hear it. Naturally recording damage for the 200 bomblets of an 87 would be unreasonable but given that the 97 only has 20 skeets, hopefully that means it'll return to life in 1.0.x.y as a 'smart' weapon :)

Oh cool, so you're saying it's not a bug but the fact that they are working to improve the model? That's gonna be pretty cool, considering in previous patches you could just wipe out a whole town with them. I assume that the graphics of all those little skeet dispensers is still a no-go, right?

 

Personally, I'm not all that tore up about it, as the previous CBU-97 model was just ridiculous in some circumstances, and because, hey, at least GBU-12s work great. Maybe more people will be forced to learn how to not die by avoiding suicidal CCIP CBU and gun runs and tank-plinking from higher altitudes instead.

Post changes that you notice which are not listed in the changelog, here !

 

I only played half an hour but I noticed new units in the instant action missions, also the FLIR seems to work a lot better. I can easily distinguish vehicles from the ground clutter now, which was more difficult before. The beautiful tree shadows are gone, too, I think because of the flying bugged ones. Control inputs from the keyboard are smoother now.

 

 

Migo, I noticed this about the FLIR as well. It's a lot easier to spot targets now in both WHOT and BHOT. Although I only tried one mission. So to early to tell for certain.

Aye - as confirmed in the past, Advanced Weapons modelling is an on-going process. As with the engine development too that we are witnessing, it all happens incrementally - As regards to the specifics I cannot answer......we'll just have to be patient is all.
