dooom Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 stupid question but does updating my AMD drivers cause me to lose my graphics profiles that i use through the catalyst control center? i am a new ATI user who only knows NVIDIA... not sure if the update process is smart enough to preserve any game praphics profiles. Please advise. ASUS Tuf Gaming Pro x570 / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @ 3.8 / XFX Radeon 6900 XT / 64 GB DDR4 3200 "This was not in the Manual I did not read", cried the Noob" - BMBM, WWIIOL

Mustang Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 It's a driver issue HiJack, reported many times by 6xxx owners in various posts - 11.6 seems to be the driver that doesn't have the problem  It's a shame really, to me it looks like all AMD and nVidia are focused on at the moment is BF3, MW3 and that Skyrim game, pretty sad times.

Insanatrix Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 I don't think it does but I use ATT for game specific profiles.

HiJack Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Are these required installed in serie or are the latest carrying all fixes?
hassata Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Please post if 'performance' turns out to apply to DCS. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Aries Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I found this (Catalyst Crew survey form): http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D27E29B0E3 please fill it up... we're gonna nail this bugger down... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
spikenet Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I found this (Catalyst Crew survey form): http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D27E29B0E3 please fill it up... we're gonna nail this bugger down... ok, filled it out. I've gone back to 11.6 driver as anything newer results in the blobs. Pretty annoying, but as you say, if you dont play BF3 etc then you get no love!
Mustang Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 This is one of the problems, DCS doesn't get the attention it needs due to the fact that AMD has driver testers like this guy "Spyre" http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33974351 check post #3 in that link - with that kind of attitude is it no wonder that the AMD driver team never takes a look! :( But yes, keep hammering on with the reports to AMD guys, perhaps just one day they'll take notice of this fine sim.
AussieM8 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 (edited) Reading that response from Spyre is very disappointing, your right we need to keep hammering away! come on DCS pilots voice your opinion to AMD and fill out the (Catalyst Crew survey form) which Aries posted. We need as much support as possible to get AMD to fix the White Flashing Box problem. http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D27E29B0E3. Edited December 30, 2011 by AussieM8 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
