It's a plane deserving of it's new position! Saw it flying at Eastbourne earlier in the year, and it's a great aircraft! It'll be very interesting to see how it fares in combat.

 

Chances of it coming to DCS are unlikely, we've already got a mud mover!

Cool, the Super Tucano is a cool Airframe.

Would love to see it in DCS.

It has performed very good in Colombia used against the terrorist group farc during night operations. As long as they build them here I'll support the idea; I gather that the texan lost because it was not designed as a light attack airplane from its beginning like the suppertucano; Embraer came up with the design after the regular tucano which was a trainer like the texan.

I make a joke, requesting a DCS ST...

 

99% people, won´t like a turbo-prop aircraft...

 

Its a honor for us, brazilians, be choosen by USAF, but DCS has to make money.

 

By the other side..

 

ST has some advantages for a hi-fidelity study sim...

 

Most part of equipment not are classified..

 

Brazilian Air Force A-29 are monoplace...

There is a very good chance this won't happen. The Brazillian company was under investigation (actually a couple of investigations) about dealings with Iran and also with backdoor payments to customers to win contracts. The proverbial fat lady has not sung on this subject yet.

EMBRAER doesn´t dealings with Iran, neither with civilian aircrafts.

 

This is HB false information to force cancel the process.

 

Backdoor payments have to be proved...

 

Until now all HB arguments has be refused..

 

The last one they guilt USPS :lol:

 

How we sad in Brazil..

I wouldn't mind this in DCS, it makes more sense than a Ka-50 let's face it and it's pretty bloody good looking. (Which is basically what I care about in planes really :D) I think the RAF should pick a few of these up for combat IMO.

Well I think this will fill it's role superbly, Light Air Support (LAS) aircraft. Easy to learn and operate, great trainer, and can be stuffed with technology to get a broad picture of the battlefield. How many of theese will you get for the price of one A-10C? I like it ;)

Brazilian Air Force has a big lack of PGM...

 

When EMBRAER leased a ST for Imminent Fury tests and some USAF/USN pilots were here to fly them...

 

I always saw the possibilitie to integrated AGM114 or same class weapon to A29..

 

I would be have a plane with almost same load with Apache, but a much lower cost.

Actually over 40 of them and it wasn't 20 years ago. Since it is the IRRG's primary ground attack aircraft (and I suppose the parts to keep them flying also STILL come from EMBRAER) I guess that's the rest of your story.

Incorrect.

 

It's a primary trainer and nothing else. Ground attack aircraft are the Su-25K Frogfoot-A, Su-25UBK Frogfoot-B, Su-25UBT Frogfoot-B, Su-20 Fitter and the Su-22 Fitter.

Which aircraft are you talking about? The Tucano? That's the only one I remember them buying from brazil, and it was 20 years ago, and it's not a "primary ground attack aircraft". They have Su-24's and (I think) Saqehs for that. (They dropped their F4's right?) If you mean the revolutionary guards specifically, I'd say their Frogfoots are not to be forgotten either.

 

If you have good sources (that is, not random internet sites and opinion pieces from magazines), please point my nose in the right direction, would be interesting to look at.
