Dr_Arrow Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 (edited) Is it somehow possible to get russian communication (ATC coms, wingman coms, Betty, etc) in the english version? It worked in FC2, when flying for the russian side the comms were in Russian language. Thanks for help. Edited May 1, 2012 by Dr_Arrow

Dr_Arrow Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Well, does not work out of the box - but I copied ATC and player into LOFC subdirectory of RUS speech and it works, I will try to use betty from LOFC2 and it should be fine. Still the russian JTAC and AWACS are missing, I hope they will be available with russian releas of DCS World.

Yeah they should be in the eventual Russian release. - I'll ask if I can package the Russian files like I did for BS2. Dr_Arrow Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 Yeah they should be in the eventual Russian release. - I'll ask if I can package the Russian files like I did for BS2. Nate That would be great :) - as the DCS world is free, it would save people from downloading and installing the russian version just to get the sound files (like me :)
hitman Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 You know what would be really nice? If the controllers wouldnt talk every 2 seconds and announce EVERYTHING. Been a problem since LOMAC 1.02, and its STILL a problem? The one other thing that gets me is the accent. NOt to bash hindus, but I cant stand that accent! Its like fingernails on chalkboard.
Nate--IRL-- Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 DCS Aircraft have volume knobs for individual radios - you'll just have put up with it in the Su-25t :) Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
jspec3 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Just felt like giving this a bump; been flying the su-25t in DCS World (a lot more than I thought I would!) and it would be cool if the comms were in Russian. Or even in Russian accented English, like in BS2. Come to think of it, maybe when BS2 is in DCS World that wouldn't be big problem to do (or maybe it's already implemented? I have the upgrade BS2 so I can't check it out yet).
Nate--IRL-- Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 The Voices are being recorded at the moment - they should be complete before the Beta is over. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
HiJack Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 The Voices are being recorded at the moment - they should be complete before the Beta is over. Nate Great! I was missing them ;)
jspec3 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Another little bump - I know it's not high priority or anything, but it would still be great if someday the su-25t pilot and wingmen could speak in Russian (or Russian accented English, like in Black Shark 2). Funny how I've now got Warthog, Mustang and BS2 all set up in DCS World, and the first thing I do is start flying the su-25t!
Esac_mirmidon Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Yes this is one of my wishes for DCS World. Could be great if ED consider to add a complete russian sound pack por DCSW in the near future. Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Is a Russian voice pack being made for SU25T also? I would like to have it set up so BS2 and SU25T voices are all in Russian and A10C voices in English.
Dr_Arrow Posted July 12, 2012 Author Posted July 12, 2012 Thanks a lot for the sound pack, really appreciated. I am off to try it out.
martinistripes Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Is a Russian voice pack being made for SU25T also? The sound package fixes both Russian aircraft. I would guess the A-10 module is unaffected. Valve Index | RTX 4080 (Mobile) | i9-14900HX @ 2.20 GHz | 32GB RAM
enigma6584 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 (edited) bump for reference. Okay, this doesn't work for DCS World correct? The folders reference is a bit confusing. How does one get russian voices for the Black Shark in DCS World? Edited March 13, 2013 by enigma6584
Mustang Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 bump for reference. Okay, this doesn't work for DCS World correct? The folders reference is a bit confusing. How does one get russian voices for the Black Shark in DCS World? The version i uploaded should still work with DCS World 1.2.3.10201, infact i've got it installed right now - installation is very easy, just extract the Sounds folder to the root directory of DCS World and it'll put itself into the right place.

Okay...first thank you for the response. Second, I tried it and no go. When flying the Ka-50 voices are still in english. Could you please simplify it for me and explain what is the root directory? Exactly what folder should I copy this stuff into?
Mustang Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Ahh did the file download as 'RUS speech files for 1.2.1.man'? i don't understand why this file is doing this from the ED website, after downloading rename the file extension so it reads 'RUS speed files for 1.2.1.rar' then open it.
