I am pissed. The Blackshark has it, the P-51D has it why does the A-10C not "HAS" it!

Yes, i am very angry :), please disregard the smiley face i am still angry:lol:..Still. So what is the problem that made me go buy Duck-tapes, ropes, knifes, plastic-wraps and chain-saws and a Ticket to ED's office.

It is the fact that the A-10C "A as in Awesome" still does not have a pilot body. Seeing the P-51's pilot is making me jealous and empty inside :helpsmilie:. You all know that people that feel empty tend to do stupid things :megalol: (I am not laughing, this is a serious matter).

Long story short, i want my pilot body!. I know where you live :book:.

Again......

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Pilot body can be toggled during the mission.

It could be made so that the pilot will not be drawn on a circular area around the mouse cursor. That way you could use the cursor to "see through" the pilot and click switches.

trust me, the pilot body is no go for A-10C. Not with the sh1tload of switches under his arms, hands and legs... Not to mention the stick between his legs :D

Imagine trying to press the flaps, with throttle floored... No way in f*cken hell!!

Same should be done with Stick and Throttles ( especially in the A-10).

its a funny old one this.

im inclined to want the pilot too. but comparitivley speaking im a sim racer too and when doing that my consideration is that iam the pilot i dont need animated arms i also have a stearing wheel in front of me why would i want one on screen. so it all gets removed to allow full concentration. but still i wants it ! lol. i think its about choice at the end of the day and the reasons are very valid, more so in the flight cockpits than the car cockpits. add it in i say and obscure as much as possible. whilst typing this i had the same idea as kegety.

Oh why not go the whole hog with a fully 3d animated pilot who's hands moves with the sticks and feet with the pedals and head and upper body move to follow my track ir movements, hell we could even have his hands come off his virtual hotas to flick the switches i just clicked with my mouse! We can dream i guess, perhaps building a full simpit and turning off the VC completly is the way to go, then i can admire my own shapley legs. course i'd then have to buy myself a flightsuit and helmet to complete the look.

Sarcasm aside, i guess the problem is that we do have to use the vc to flick switches and with a virtual pilot sat in our lap blocking the view it might be hard. I like driving games where you see the drivers body manipulating all the controls but thats because i dont have to look at the controls myself, i have button/axis for everything.

What's the point of having a body in the first place, if you'll need to see through it, or toggle it on/ off?

Making it a selectable (in sim settings) option is fine
