Of all the developers out there, I'd trust VRS above anyone else (except maybe ED) to make a DCS:Superbug

Same VRS are the Superhornet gurus they know everything about the jet, their addons rock.

 Love it WRAITH!

Can't find the paypal button..can I send you my credit card info? :D

@KillarZ: I am happy with !ANY! F18 thats done by DCS hands and with AFM!

For sure ED should take their time. Don't forget it will be the first DCS module that interacts with carriers.

Rope and catapult...make it work better than this attempt here :) :

I think Wags and friends are killing their F5 buttons and laughing their **** off :D

Which indeed would be very funny.

But either way if its a joke or a lesson or the truth it doesn't exclude the DCS C version to get built.

My Cockpit still has the chance to get the right module, hehe

I have to agree, the cryptic message from Wags seemed pretty luke warm and fuzzy. My guess is they're having fun with us.

At least they have an existing product to gauge their abilities from.

I totally agree and it looks professionally done, a good starting point.

Question is why it is then still available on turbo squid for public when they probably would need to buy exclusive rights for this model for commercial use.

edit: Actually you might not need exclusive rights for those for commercial purposes.

The Turbosquid rights allow you to redistribute provided you do so in a proprietary format (eg. putting into ED's undocumented EDM format is sufficient).

@WRAITH: you wanted an F-16C Block 52? This is also from Turbosquid also rendered by the (cross-platform OpenGL!) engine I'm hacking on:

Turbosquid has great stuff!

Yes you are right...I remembered afterwards how often movie companies buy models there which is definitely considered commercial :)

It sounds like some people still havent bought in on this. My word means nothing. But for me. I know for a fact F-18 ( of some variant) is out there for DCS.

Im not looking to stir a pot here. I dont know who labs work when creating this stuff but its not happening tomorrow morning thats for sure. If I could guess I would say end of this year.

Again. Take it for what its worth.

Peace

Well,

I dont know it for a fact. The englishman that I met in Tampa not many weeks ago may have shown me products that were false. Maybe he wasnt who he said he was. For all I know it could have all been a dream.

But again. I know its there and just let time do its thing. Thats all ive got.

The user on ED forums and the website have been registered the same day :

Also Core Tex Designs -> CTD

I smell fish :P

Edit : also the whois information now shows "private registration", but it was not the case at first ;)

Altough I have no clue as to who this person with the initials C.H. really is (not showing up anywhere, facebook etc). There is an F-18F test pilot with the nearly the same name but that seems a bit far fetched :P

So there might actually be a mirror but I still don't see any sign of smoke, much less anything more substantial.;)

Core Tex Designs does indeed have a license agreement. However, they are very early in their development and have decided to jump into the very deep end. I wish them the very best and also will be curious to see how they resolve some of the technology challenges posed by this aircraft.
