Has the total engine power output changed in the latest patch? There are some little things I've noticed.

The time for the engines to spool up has decreased significantly, probably by about a third. The actual power output seems greater now. Even with a heavy weapons/fuel load I can reach 200kts very quickly after I have left the run way.

I just get the feeling that the aircraft is more of a powerhouse now. Has something changed?

Strange I was thinking something similar the other night, I was pulling sustained ~7g turns where I thought before the plane would stall but it was coping ok. Maybe I was imagining things because I hadn't played it a week or so but at the time I definitely believed it felt more powerful/responsive

What was the air temperature in the mission you were flying?

There is a very noticeable difference in performance between warm/hot weather and cold weather in term of both engine performance and general aircraft handling.

I certainly discovered that the first time I decided to set the weather to a really cold winter day.

Cold-->greater performance because of high air density---->wings generate more lift

Warm-->poor performance because of low air density------>wings generate less lift

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

It's called "mooning", nothing special really, just relax. :D

Hawg1-2, uhh, nice hit on that armor. Looks like you might be compensating for something :D

If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
