Played it for 20 mins, love it. The Tunguska and Shilka are unbelievable. I'm sure there is better hardware, but those two have been my most hated foe's flying in the sim.

Yeah, right now, AP rounds hitting terrain produce a tiny collision effect. HE rounds are much more fun :)

I will have a try on CA arms today, once I have time to download...

 

as I only have DCSW actually installed on my PC, the questions is:

 

with DCSW + CA bought, which DCS aircraft are flyable additionally because of the purchase of CA? the A10C from the standalone 10C DCS product? or the Ka50 flyable ?

If you only own CA - all you can fly is the Su-25T, if you want the other aircraft you must purchase the DCS:-World module for them.

 

Note you will have to Install DCS:-World 1.2.0 for CA to work correctly.

Basically.

 

1. Download and install DCS:World for free

2. Have fun in the SU25T if you wish

3. Purchase a new module using the icons at the bottom (if you want to)

4. Have fun.

In your CA module Doc folder.

Where is the CA module folder? I don't see it in my DCS World folder, and the Doc folder inside the DCS World folder only has 4 text files but no pdf files.

Never mind LOL; found it inside the "Mods" folder.

No Idea - probably not implemented for Human Controlled vehicles yet.

I can't really communicate with the AI CAS-A10s and they totally ignore my IR beam etc. and bomb everything else around :)

You can't be JTAC for the AI, just other players.

Is this something that will be looked at in the future, single-player controlling AI assets? I was hoping for this, but understand this is a beta.

When doing a mission I could tell Flights to stop Orbiting and attack.

But that the fact they went on my smoke targets was rather bc they were closest I think :) not bc I bossed them around.

 

Yes I hope that's going to come too! Though I am not a SP anyway.

I've made a escort mission for the masterarms.se community. We're gonna play it tomorrow, I will try to fraps as much action as I can. We tested the mission today, and it's awesome to see the intense ground battle and see the Ka-50's unleashing unhealthy amounts of rockets at the same time.

Just wanted to say, CA is great fun.

 

Sat in a Tor tonight minding my own business, and did not notice a AI A-10c overhead he rolled in and went to guns on me !

 

I nearly shat myself lol :poster_oops:

 

The GAU-8 is not nice to be on the receiving end of lol

Hahah the exact same thin happened to me too - i nearly jumped out of my chair!

 

The Worst are the ATGMs - you can hear them coming just that second too late - que frantic looking about and trying to undo the Handbrake and BOOM! :)
