Yes I too am having this problem, but it only had just started and I have not changed anything on my CPU or settings etc,

I seem to crash when track ir is on, if track ir is switched off it connects without a ctd. Very frustrating

This has just started happening to me tonight. Pretty annoying, although even if I could connect to the master, chances are that all the servers would be too unstable (or unpopulated) anyway. On the very few occasions that it has worked, DCS World multiplayer has been awesome, but I think I will be waiting until the next patch before I go online again.

Started happening to me AGAIN. No software/hardware changes.

Where is the fix?!

Technically it feels like crap. Crashes on connection, unstable servers, what the hell is going on?

//been tryinh to connect to master for over 30 minutes, no success at all.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Fighting with it for about an hour.

Connected to some server, got game crash after landing (CTD). Next, when tried to enable multi..., typed in my password - it says "Connecting to master" and BANG - crash again... :(

Here are some logs...

It has started happening to me also today - without a reason. No software/hardware changes either...

I noticed that this might not be a master server problem. After loading up MP before login press cancel, choose source "HISTORY" or "LAN" but NOT "INTERNET" then login. It won't crash. You can even connect via IP. It crash only when loading the servers list... Maybe this happens when someone's server name uses strange letters, signs or else...?

Workaround:

When you first start DCS world multiplayer, click CANCEL instead of CONNECT.

Then change the source in the top right from "INTERNET" to "HISTORY" (or "LAN").

Then Click "login" in top right. You can now connect by IP to your favourite server.

Explanation: It's crashing when it tries to refresh the master list of servers (don't know why but I'm going to say poor programming).

Doing the above means it doesnt refresh the master list of servers.

This just fixed it for me, although I can select Internet again once successfully logged in.

No TrackIR software, Win 7 Pro, I7-950 8GB Ram.

Hit Multiplayer

Login - CTD

Hit Multiplayer

Cancel Login

Change to LAN

Click Login (top right)

Change to Internet - Master Server updates list, no crash

just done this twice and it was the same both times.

Edit: Third time it did crash when selecting Internet, but at least you can use the DirectIP to get in to something...

This helped a few people may or may not, it is worth a try though.

I saw another thread with a fix that stated the OP shut down the auto connect and connected to the server manualy or just restarted the auto search for a server. If I find it I will post a link for you.

installing the June 2010 DirectX SDK caused the game to start crashing every time I would try to connect to the master server.

The logs were referring to TrackIR's dlls. I reinstalled TrackIR.

now the game is working great...getting amazingly smooth performance now.

very nice! thanks hawk!

ED is aware of the issues and has formulated a fix they are hoping to distribute in the next patch(info from Wags). We just need to be patient.

Also having this issue and the work around of clicking on LAN works only up to a point. Still can't connect by IP.

Issue came up specifically after enabling Aero setting then disabling it, and crashing when alt-tabbing. Wow, that's another thing that should be fixed (alt-tab)

The VC redistributable is fine on my system, it's DCS that's the problem.
