almonds Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 yeah this waiting is a killer. I have been playing Borderlands 2 and Black Mesa Source to get my fix :) "The art of simulation design is about understanding limited fidelity... ...compromises must be made. Designers have to consider cost vs. fidelity and processor time vs. fidelity. Additional trade-offs must be made between graphics, AI, flight models, number of units and more... ...never ask the pilot what he wants to learn because he too will end up building an airplane. Instead, ask the pilot what he needs to learn." -Gilman "Chopstick" Louie
G-Lock91 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Have you been living under a rock or something? ...It's really quite simple: DCS is an acronym made up of three letters, three is also the number of prongs on the average electrical cord, electricity is used to power blenders Where are you from where the average electrical chord has 3 prongs? :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "If they can make penicillin out of moldy bread, they can certainly make something out of you" -Muhammad Ali WIN 7 64-bit SP1 | AMD Phenom II X4 955 | 8.0 GB RAM | NVidia GeForce GTX 550Ti | CH Pro Throttle | CH Fighterstick | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR5

lokitexas Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Sadly, Sept. 30th is still September :(. Do you think it will be stretched out that long? I have never played FC, but recently bought LOMAC and installed it to be ready for FC3. Only thing is, I think I am looking forward to the new World update (stable online please), more than flying the F15. Is that wrong? i5 3570k @ 4.3 560ti GTX 2gig 8gig RAM Intel SSD Win7 64bit

Pyroflash Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) Where are you from where the average electrical chord has 3 prongs? :) merica. Actually all sensitive electronics and most industrial equipment have two or more main draws + a ground, but the general gist of it is +,-, 0 (ground). Hence why the plug in the back of your power supply has three prongs (even if the plug to your wall doesn't). *Off topic like the Mars Rover crashing into the Sun: I came home to my parents house (only ~six outlets are grounded in the whole house mind you) and tried once to explain why (even though they had grounded the mains some years back due to some code being passed that required all outlets within 10 feet of a water source to be grounded.), the green light wouldn't go on in the surge protector when it was plugged in. They were CONVINCED that because the house was grounded, and that the wall outlets had three prongs, that everything was automatically grounded. Thus they just got really angry and called in an electrician to see why the green light wasn't turning on. The expert opinions was that most of the house was in fact, not grounded. I have absolutely no idea where I am going with this, but I hope that it proved useful for those of you who are electrically challenged (which is a lot easier than being computer challenged, and there are enough of those people). Some more OT, actually if you need 120 volts, what you get out of the socket is one (of the three) phases, neutral and ground. Were you to get 2 phases, the voltage supplied would be 120*sqrt(3)=207 volts. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
