sapounas Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Come one guys! Why do you all think that I am not a fan of realism?? how can you say? Maybe some day (or night) we can fly together a h2h and solve this in the air. So all the "real" pilots out there please stop attacking me about realism. It is all RAZBAM fault. Where is the F-15e? how long it will take? Post a picture! And on the other hand, it's faichilds fault, that made a-10 so slow! :D
IonicRipper Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Wrong sim. They attempt to replicate reality in DCS. BF3 has planes. ;) BF3's planes are just terrible! i5 4590 @ 3.77GHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | 1TB HDD+500GB HDD | Win10 Home X64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Xeno426 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Zazo all i would like to have now is a little faster a-10. Not that is doesn't do the job, but speed is nice sometimes. Have you tried the Su-25T?
sapounas Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 I don't like it. Doesn't have targeting pod... :) F-15e has! but where is f-15e?
sapounas Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Let me try that, and i will post you the differences. Ayway this is an F-15 thread, don't find for me any alternatives Thank you.

sapounas Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Long way? RAZBAM if you need developers count me and my dude in please, if i can help to make it on time!
Cedaway Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Do you know why i can't wait? Cause F-15E = (+/- A-10C) + Afterburners So Master Yoda, please provide: a lua script that Enables AFTERBURNER use in A-10 A script that allows to use f-15E skin in A-10. That would make me happy I don't mind about the physics, i can wait for them as long as you need Why don't you look after FC3 then? It has F-15C, Mig-29's, Su-27, SU-33 and A-10a... All you need for air to air and air to ground. Just changing the A-10c 'skin' and add it an afterburner sounds (to me) like an heresy:huh: . DCS Wish: Turbulences affecting surrounding aircraft... You just need to learn to be patient.
kk0425 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Sorry if this has been answered already, but will we be seeing the Lockheed Martin Sniper XR TPG or the LITENING II TGP?
Advicepuppy Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Sorry if this has been answered already, but will we be seeing the Lockheed Martin Sniper XR TPG or the LITENING II TGP? Depends on if it's classified. I don't know, but those are very real issues that face these guys in developing sims :P If I remember correctly, the IFF system on the A-10C isn't properly modeled because the gov'ment wouldn't tell them how it worked or something.
Pyroflash Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 (edited) AFAIK the A-10C uses both the Sniper and Litening, however the F-15E and B-1B exclusively use the Sniper. I think the same goes for the F-16C, however I am unsure of this. I know the reverse is true for the Navy planes. They almost exclusively rock the Litenings. Remember that ED developed the USAF A-10C DTS. The KY-58 secure voice radio that you are thinking of is one of the things that had to be cut from the civilian (re. our product) project. I don't think the currently flying suite 7 aircraft even have this though. Instead they have a nifty integrated digital radio stack. Keep in mind that even some stuff about our current Litening II TGP is wrong. You wouldn't know it though, unless you've actually used one in real life, or had access to documents telling you otherwise. Similarly, compromises would likely have to be made with the Sniper. However it is not unfathomable that a semi-realistic version of it, based off of real life attributes and specifications could make it into the game. Edited March 14, 2013 by Pyroflash If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
Xeno426 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 To be fair, I'm pretty sure things like IFF and secure radio aren't complete unknowns. How they work, from a basic level, is understood. Specifics, like the actual codes you punch in and stuff, are what's classified.

I believe both the A-10C and F-15E can use both, and they perform similar functions although a promotional video from Lockeed Martin showed some of the features of the Sniper Pod, at least one I remember not being available in the LITENING TGP. This one I think is the one I watched: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTFcmlbn1GQ AFAIK the A-10C uses both the Sniper and Litening, however the F-15E and B-1B exclusively use the Sniper. I think the same goes for the F-16C, however I am unsure of this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_Martin_Sniper_XR http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LITENING_targeting_pod Assuming those are accurate, the F-15 should be able to use the LITENING TGP, and I believe the developers will in order to save time, even though I think they use Snipers more often but I'm unsure of that. I'm guessing based on number of videos/pictures I've seen of F-15s. But what made me think of the question is that on one of the screenshots posted earlier, the Launcher wallpaper, you can see it's equipped with the Sniper pod. Needless to say, I'm a bit curious now.
Deadsix Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I'm more curious if we are going to get a functional Navigation pod with a working Terrain Following Radar.

But yes, the A-10C can and often does carry both. v303d Fighter Group Discord | Virtual 303d Fighter Group Website

Specifics, like the actual codes you punch in and stuff, are what's classified. Both can be found on the internet in F-16 manuals such as the MLU tapes. IFF has been modeled in sims in the past and although FC3 has automatic IFF a realistic IFF would be cool. Secure radio such as the older Havquick is also mentioned but maybe something that combines that with Teamspeak would be cool. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
