By the way, it seems that there are new updates? Such as 7570? Why can't I update to this version via the automatic updater?

 

Yes, as I mentioned above with the list update into Resolved vs Unresolved, all new bug reports have to be based on 1.2.2.7570, with the version# being confirmed with every report.

 

As for the autoupdater, it will probably go live sometime soon. Be sure to run the autoupdater via the start menu as it only checks once a day from the default SIM shortcut.

Could you please give the bug number 44 some higher priority?? It is a major issue. It is preventing G940 players to fly any of the DCS World aircraft using force feedback. KA-50 is completely unflyable for us. I've been grounded since FC3 has come out and it is really disappointing.

Mig-31 nosewheel still not grounded correctly and strange take off behaviour of the main gear.

 

obviously the problem is the "angle of attack" whilst taxying. the back main gear sinks in the ground while the nose gear is still i little bit up in the air. please correct it!

Few Q:

 

"15 - R27ER no loft trajectory" - this was stated '"as intentional", so its just basically removed from the list right? Or ED touched anything?

 

"18 - EOS scanning not functional in elevation" - same question. Touched anything in values or just removed?

Just removed.

 

EOS is however undergoing changes/improvement/fixes as per the bug list to accord with RL behaviour.

So far, seems that clients get no lock or launch warning from any launch platform (SAM, airborne, ship). Seems to me it's not a particular, but a general problem.

2 - Mig29S external fuel tanks not displayed on fuel tape

 

Its still the same and not correct. Ver 7570

 

Version of server and client verified 7570

 

For me it works like a one-bit display. Until the center tank is not empty, the full ctrl+internal amount is displayed. When Centerline runs out of fuel, the lamp lights up and the gauge drops to the full internal amount. Haven't tested it with wingtanks.

 

For the rest of the list:

"112 - SU25A/T takeoff flaps is shown as landing flaps on client aircraft" - now I don't see the full extended flaps in a Su-25A. It only shows as takeoff flaps.

Yep Ver 7570 Off line

 

What does the Fuel tape indicate Lefty if you have Full Internal Fuel + 2 Wing Drop tanks ? a screen shot would be great.

In my case the Tape only ever shows a max of 3500KG. With Full Internal + Centreline tank tape should be showing 4700Kg.

With 3 Tanks it should be showing 6300Kg

 

 

In addition in the Mission Editor even if you select a config of 3 tanks the max fuel is listed as 3500kg.If you try to manually enter an amount 3500Kg is the max it will permit which if it is only Internal fuel would be correct. ... but it doesn't take into account ANY external fuel.

I am very happy because the new version today resolved a couple of things :

 

-no more weird graphical glitches with HDR and FOG on (strange black artefacts blocking the view above a set altitude

 

-the escort action works with human player (not sure it was resolved in this version but I just found it now...)

 

-the sim loads pretty much faster!

How to fix the MIG29 Fuel QTY system in FC3

 

Firstly the current Fuel gauge is incorrect, its a hybrid. In FC3 the gauge modelled is for early generation MIG29A/G's that were not plumbed for Wing Drop tanks.... though it has the extra scale value to cater for Wing Drop tanks !

 

The MIG29S came with this capability from Day 1. All Luftwaffe MIG29s were modified to allow carriage of external wing drop tanks. Since All MIG29's in FC3 can carry wing external drop tanks the fuel gauge should represent this.

 

The graphic below illustrates the 2 different types of Fuel gauges

The Gauge on the left is pre mod MIG29A max scale value 5500Kg. The Gauge on the right is MIG29S or G Post mod max scale value 7500Kg. Main changes are addition of an extra "end of Transfer light", Deletion of the switch in the top left corner of the panel, addition of "no" text on the bottom of the right scale. (No change to the FC3 scale required since it already goes to 7500Kg !)

 

The graphic below though small illustrates a Real world MIG29S gauge with 6000Kg of fuel ... i.e. the aircraft is configured with 2 Wing Drop tanks and a Centreline Drop tank. The Fuel tape clearly indicating the TOTAL fuel load.

Fuel indications and sequence are in my previous post. In summary starting with 6400KG on board. The fuel first feeds from the Wing drop tanks (after a little from internal first used). As external fuel is consumed the tape decrements based on measured fuel flow. When the external Wing drop tank fuel is consumed the Top "End of Transfer light" illuminates the fuel tape will indicate 4600Kg. Fuel then starts to be consumed from the centreline drop tank. The tape still decrements based on measured Fuel Flow. When the centreline drop tank is empty the next "end of transfer " light "n K " illuminates the tape will now be reading about 3400Kg. The aircraft is now on internal fuel. the fuel tape now displays "MEASURED" fuel remaining in Kgs. As the fuel is consumed the remaining "end of transfer' lights illuminate in turn.First the "internal wing" light "KP" then the Tank 3 light "3" and finally the tank 1 light "1".

 

in the current model the bottom four "end of transfer" lights operate correctly. The fourth light from the bottom (Centreline end of transfer) needs to be re labelled "n K"

 

If the changes to the end of transfer lights are too hard then simply making the tape read total Fuel quantity would be an acceptable compromise imo.

Sorry, misinformed. I flew a mig-29A and it was still the incorrect 4.5=3.2 tape, so in conclusion:

 

I don't see any of the fuel tank amount in 29A or 29S. No center, no wing tank amounts.

 

Also - 67 - Mig 29 flap extension animation incorrect no change:

Viper this one is still the same as before so not resolved yet.

 

107 - SU27 Flaps retraction audio is played twice instead of once

 

Once more, when flaps are lowered sound is played once, but when flaps are raised the sound is looped and played twice. I just tried it with 7570 build and it's still doing the same thing. I know its not major bug so maybe ED have just dropped it thinking not worth fixing :)

I can also confirm that in version 7570, no hawk launch warning while in the F-15C, in multiplayer. I was low enough to see the two missiles launch and track to me while engaging an A10. Also not noticed in the bug list is no Radar ID of A-10C even when well within range to be able to. Possibly not directly related there was a game freeze after splashing said A-10C with an AIM-120 and going defensive from the SAM launch. I can provide the track if needed, but its over an hour long.

 

Edit: SO it seems due to the game freezing and me having to End Task on it, the track wasn't saved.

Ok this you will find:

- flaps noises "bouncing" at the end (played twice pitched)

- ejection seats missing in the A-10 lately activated (uncontrolled then switch activated 60s later)

- UH-1H strangely belonging to Russian side (with National Guard skin :music_whistling:) an displaying an horrible landing light halo cone

- Leader of the A-10 flight switching off the nav lights beut all the three wingies keeping their flashing

- stealth SU-27 approach and kill (R-73 + canon) but still no warning on the SPÖ for any lock and AIM-9 launch...then seeing my defeat :cry:
