Yep, since April, not impressed as a long fan of th e series going back to MW1, nothing but instant action.

i been trying mwo, but its just like all other shooters for me, not very interesting anymore. recently in my search for some competitive gaming ive been trying natural selection 2, game of a mod of a game, and its defentily better than mwo.

Mechwarrior Living Legends is way better. Aerospace, clan tech, elementals, tanks etc. Much more of a realistic battlefield scenario than MWO and sticks more to the MW pen and paper game.

Anytime you mention any of those missing things over there it's like fighting words.

That stuff will never get into MWO cause of all the crybabies and bad players who want to just have shootouts with their Atlas. The only tactic for that game is focus firing single targets with your team( unless you don't have a team , then your screwed)

Waste of money and disappointing for me.

It's really just World of Mechs, not really a Mechwarrior game. There's no real objective outside of capping or killing everything. All the maps are extremely small, tons of bugs, low heat brawly weapons are the only really viable weapons due to the map design having too much cover, being too small and their adaptation of the heat system.

Tons of bugs, lack of feature's and content, repetitive gameplay... It was a big letdown after I bought a founder pack and got into the beta. Decided to refund it back in September and wait and see how it did. So far it's tanking due to the lack of a new player experience, uninteresting grinding, uninteresting gameplay. Now they're gonna add in 3rd person view which I personally don't like and I think it's a slap in the face to everyone they promised that they would never look at 3rd person view because it took away from the feel of piloting your mech.

All in all a pretty lackluster and dissappointing experience to someone who loved the MW series, read the BT books, played the hell out of Mechcommander and MCG and pretty much all of the MW series.

Disagree with above opinion, but opinions vary. Yes, there are only few test maps, some half complete, some complete (love the city map). There is only one mode of play, capture the base (or you may win by killing opposing team).

I am hardcore MW gamer since original MW2 game. Countless of LAN matches and online matches played. Played every version of the series since MW2.

Even as just Beta Test MWO with a lot of planned content still missing, MWO is the best MW game so far in line (by fans for fans) with incredible potential and I have trouble with it already, because I have become addicted to Mechs again! :)

Well indeed, opinions vary. ;)

I am a long time fan of the MW games as well as the Battletech Mini's game and I don't like it.

It's good to see the Mechwarrior theme getting some exposure again, but this game -in its current state- is nothing more than an arena based instant action shooter, which just happens to feature Mechs.

Nothing wrong with enjoying it, of course, but like you said, opinions vary. :)

Again, as a long time MW player, going back to MW1...MWO is a major disappointment and complete waste of time.

The clan invasion packs are out but the price of a single mech is 5 times over the original legendary pack boasting 4 mechs.

Im angry infact. this is just money grab at the cost of Loyal log time genre Fans and utterly hostile for the casual gamer.

Perhaps they want some money before this game dies out permanently.

Note the contractual promise date for delivery- "by June 17th 2014".

Anyone buying Clan hardware in the next week who does not receive their promised merchandise by June 17th, 2014 will have zero recourse from any of the three major debit/credit card networks- the statute of limitations for the filing of a fraud claim will have expired.

Not only are they scamming, they're announcing it to the world they're scamming to cover their collective a*.

PGI failed on this based on inexperience on AAA titles, and their disinterest from dealing with canon. The claim made above that this is a title "for fans by fans" is facetious- MWO is an insult to the fanbase. Every truly successful MW game was intelligent enough to build upon a foundation from the canon that would allow for real-time play: the Solaris rules set. They didn't, thus they burned, making up damage, heat, ghost heat (!) and recharge rates on the fly.

I look forward to watching this cluster fail spectacularly, so that the group who made Living Legends can get back to work (see that "cease and desist" order issued to them, and take that "for fans by fans" and stick it).

MW2 Mercenaries is quite good, I had many good MP fights with that, MW3 was not as good but with MW2 you could continue fighting with a leg missing.

I just played 1 hour - not very impressed. I nicely remember EarthSiege 2 and pity there is no similar game today s far I know.

I will give chance to Living legends and see.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D
