SilentEagle Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Great news! Does anyone know if he misspoke on the L-29 and was referring to the L-39 or are we getting that one too? :)
Evilducky Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 But I haven't seen it mentioned yet and I'm wondering, am I the only person unreasonably excited about the OH-58 I got a little excited about it. Had 4 of them plus 2 blackhawks fly over my house the other day. "I though, man that would be cool to fly. I hope someone does that for DCS so I can". :P I guess wishes do come true
SkateZilla Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Great news! Does anyone know if he misspoke on the L-29 and was referring to the L-39 or are we getting that one too? :) At first i thought I had a Typo in my list that everyone seems to copy/paste. But i just watched the video and he said L-29, so... <shrug> Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
swe_badger Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Great stuff! I'll take two Mi-8's, one UH-1H, a MiG-21bis and an F-86F please. You may keep the rest. I don't like flying a computer simulated within an aircraft model on a COMPUTER. On another note, how many of those aircraft on that list will we see this year except the Huey and Fishbed? I bet one more. Listen, I love that we are getting new high-fidelity aircraft and I'm ever so grateful but at the current pace of output...thank lord Jebus that I'm not middle-aged yet. Mnemonic Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Any plans to make gliders? Antares electrical self launcher would be nice... :D Jokes aside, I am really excited to see such a wonderful roadmap! I hope development speed will increase too! Su-27sm, F-18, HIND, FW-190... Am I sleeping?
SFAL Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 What makes you think things are going to change that much more th There are Su-27 using R-77's in some servers already. It didn't make that big of a difference in FC2, I don't see it being some overpowering force in FC3. It's still gonna come down to the pilot and wingmen. I hope you fly online. I'm gonna really need to stat flying FC3 and DCS again. What makes me think that... what i said.... since i can only speculate... thats what i think... correct me if im wrong but the USAF has nothing in comperison to the kh31 system... that is a game changer.... why? when dcs world got released with the su25t and the ability to do SEAD/DEAD was a gamechanger... just becouse the elint pod and the kh58 and kh25Mpu on a side note... relax a bit enjoy flying around.... yes i do online games... find me on the 51st -War- 104th 373... :)
Rusty_M Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 what happened to v1.2.3 anyway? we had a newsletter before christmas saying it was already out and then nothing, not even a note from the devs lol. I cant wait to be able to direct aircraft from the map =) :) They did mention that there was a delay in the release of the patch. Something to do with finding a bug at the last moment. The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine! http://www.twitch.tv/rusty_the_robot https://www.youtube.com/user/RustyRobotGaming
GGTharos Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 correct me if im wrong but the USAF has nothing in comperison to the kh31 system... that is a game changer.... why? In terms of anti-radar weapons? The Kh-31 is old and probably fairly inferior to the AGM-88. Not that it is useless, just 'not as good'. The 88 will fly pretty far, too, under the right conditions and is very capable of quick reaction to close/sudden threats. when dcs world got released with the su25t and the ability to do SEAD/DEAD was a gamechanger... just becouse the elint pod and the kh58 and kh25Mpu There is no SEAD in DCS. There is only DEAD, with no ability for the SAMs to defend themselves properly from ARMs. This is a simulation issue, and should not be viewed as the 'way things are'. You might find in the near future that the Su-25T is a somewhat poor SEAD platform and that the Kh-31 is itself somewhat limited in certain respects. (Of course, so is the AGM-88 ... there are probably some things that one missile can do that they other cannot :) ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

SyntaxError Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Wow quite the list of upcoming aircraft. Though I wish they would scrap the Mi-8 (did I hear that right) and spend the time on an AH-64 or AH-1Z. F/A-18C - A-10C - FC3 - L-39C/ZA - Ka-50 - UH-1H - Mi-8MTV2 - F-86F - Spitfire - P-51D - P-47D - BF-109K - CA
tomcatter Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I agree Paul.... I´m soooo happy with the news about the hornet and the sukhoi, but from how i see World right now, don´t will be a better idea to put all the efforts in just 4 or 5 hi quality planes and choppers and 2 or 3 new playgrounds than just make our old scenario populated with 35-40 diferents machines?? World has the need of honor his name...

It's up to third-party what they want to create. ED are making theF/A-18C (so it seems) and that's a real "crowd pleaser" if you will, not my cup of tea though. I'm so glad that there are third-party willing to model "obscure" aircraft that haven't been modelled with such a high fidelity of realism before. Also, again with the Mi-8, it will probably sell VERY well to our Russian DCS fan base and it's a pretty large fanbase at that. Bottom line is, everybody's happy because there is essentially something for everyone on that list. robert123456 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Little late to the post but amazed as everyone else. If an su27 is developed as a full dcs module, i will buy whatever you release even though i will only fly the flanker forever pausing only to have fun on the fw190 :joystick:

Eagle Dynamics will most likely be developing the Mi-24, since they have more experience in the attack helicopter area with the Black Shark already under their belt. Edit: It's a niche as you said. Unless it's $5 I don't think it will sell more than 50 copies at best. From the look of the video, there might not be that much development left to do on a Mi-8 sim... 2/ Depending upon what equipment and loadouts are modelled, the Mi-8 could be quite useful in the sim: Edited January 17, 2013 by Weta43 Cheers.
