As it stand, even with port forwarded, Crash to Desktop 5 times within each sessions... (thats withing 15 +/- of testing) minutes Basically unplayable right now as far as MP goes... After 20min of trying to spool up each time and to take off, it crashed so many often then I had to give up...Seriously spread 1.2.3... thanks

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

I wonder what's taking so long! Is it that they are working on more than one project at the same time?

They have to upload a test installer first then do some more tests to see if that works then IF it does then they need to update the servers... All takes time.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

We all suffer from the screen freezes, i can go one evening and have 5+ in a row but i never let it deter me, after persevering last night i was able to finally login and have a 4hr sortie and 13 kills :)

1.2.3 is coming, just hang on in there ;)

Yeah was happening to me on your server last night, I must have been popping in and out on the server log list like a salary man in a brothel.

I was more concerned that you chaps might have thought I was buggering around and not playing properly! :)

ED doesn't want you singing this the day that 1.2.3 is released:

bb_OEaHfWII

Just a little more patience, please. It's coming.

And NO, you don't want to rush the cook ;) What is important to understand is that every new patch is including new features/engine updates/bug fixes. Those can cause serious unforeseen consequences (even the bug fixes- bug fixes can cause new bugs to surface), and if you were to, say, rush a patch, you'd be very unhappy with the results.

Yes, never underestimate the importance of regression testing. It's when you think you don't need it that those kinds of bugs pop up.

If quality was ever a concerned then who tested & approved 1.2.2? It’s obvious from reviews and users that this ‘beta’ is acting more like an alpha IMO. Just saying from observations...

I believe that quality is of great concern. It is obvious to me. Members of the beta team spend many hours bug hunting and the developers spend countless additional hours fixing the bugs and improving the code all the time. This is a complex simulation and the beta team is taking the time to address MP stability before the next update. I am perfectly happy to wait for it. Great things take time and AFAIK there are many people flying on the 104th and other community servers every day and thoroughly enjoying themselves regardless. :D

You could always wait until all is out of beta if you choose to.

Great things come to who waits for it. I know all that physical & psych crap, remains that 1.2.2 remains as is, a crap duster….who approved this as mention, if quality is the standard, then something went wrong because I can’t even pass the F15C campaign mission 2 glitch

It is beta mate. Maybe you don't have the right sort of temperament to deal with it?

Many people are flying and enjoying themselves in MP even now. I see the 104th and other servers pretty full each night. Mustang just posted in this thread that he had a 4 hour sortie with 13 kills last evening. He persevered. Take a lesson from those that do or don't complain and wait till the patch. You can choose but bashing the beta as alpha and insults only make you appear small.

Try to be happy. It suits you better ;)

It is BETA genius... Why the Hell do you think they HAVE a beta program? If you aren't bright enough to figure out what BETA really means then by all means DON'T use it until it is complete..

My initial post was about venting... I still have faith in ED, just got frustrated in the period of time...I understand that patience is virtue...

Moose, while i agree that bugs can be very irritating try to think of it this way: its either buggy sim, or no sim. at least it starts when you double click the icon. as software quality assurance specialist (not for ED of course) i can tell you i was never part of project without lots of bugs and there were multiple situations when we released with known bugs. poor QA on our part? perhaps, but it was the best available to project. same here , ED QA team while perhaps not 100% is the best that you going to get.

yes, i am irritated by bugs, but i can see how these things can happen when creating something of DCS complexity. and given the level of work I do on my project (and i do consider myself as adequate at least at my profession) i can't really blame them.

Where are you guys getting that World is still a Beta? I see some modules are still in beta.. FC3 CA sure. World is a release version. Or did I miss something?

Given the nature of this type of simulation, I think we should consider DCSW and all of it's modules in perpetual beta. There's always something to improve, that usually means new bugs, new fixes, then back to new features, and the cycle repeats ad infinitum... It goes with the territory, IMHO. As long as there's some type of active development at all, I'm happy.

world is a new system implemented to put the older and newer products in one place. please give ED the time to import A-10 and Ka-50 properly, so that in future versions, these are done, and newer modules become available.
