Pelmo Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Wags, could you please tell us why you and your team decided to eliminate Wingtip vortices from all the planes? Headspace Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I would rather see actual wake turbulence than the visual component. The real thing is invisible. But I'm sure that would be a mega processing sink.

WarthogSmurf Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Currently the simulator is not realistic. Yup the wing vortex was what it really made realistic :megalol::megalol: Granted I miss it and thought it was a bug but I care less in seeing a wing vortex as I am more busy watching my wingman or lead and doding missles

Python Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I care less in seeing a wing vortex as I am more busy watching my wingman or lead and doding missles Lose sight... lose the fight ;) even if its just a glance back over the wing while you're evading a bad guy I agree with the thread starter, having that wing pouring off vortices/vapor as you glance back would add an element of realism. I brought this up in another thread so won't rabble on but I'd love to see a proper implementation of these effects and buffeting in DCS world. I for one think it would make a huge difference overall. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Pelmo Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) Guys I would not want my comments to be misinterpreted, but honestly the question I turned to Wags and I am very sorry that does not want or can not find the time to answer me. I understand that some users consider the effect is not essential, however, I wonder, but if the first wax, why was it removed? If you perform maneuvers at high "G" you can see these effects. I agree that the simulator definitely needs to be corrected and there are some bugs that need to be corrected before others. But I wish that this effect is again implemented. The Wingtip Vapor Missing is A BUG as a result of <Classified info, If i told you, then a pancake somewhere dies from syrup drowning> And Technically, the Appearance of Vapor has nothing to do with how many G's a plane is pulling in any given maneuver. Pelmo Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 Thank you, very interesting. However I have always seen this effect, only aircraft that perform maneuvers, turns, with high loads of "G". smnwrx Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 goood ole vapor bug! Like stated above it has more to with the high alpha of those maneuvers and not many do alpha like the bug also the higher the moisture in the air the lower the dew point much like the formation of clouds in the sky.
