Just a quick question about AI crew, if it has already been asked and answered apologies.

 

Will it be possible to command your AI crew to open fire if you stick to the pilots position ?

I interprete Silver_Dragons answer as: "yes you can command the AI crew via the intercom." I could be wrong, though ;)

Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.

Although the other way will be possible (you gunning and AI pilot):

 

8.1.2. M23 Armament Subsystem Firing Procedures

To use the side door M-60D machines guns of the M23 armament system, simply press [3] or [4] until you are in the position of the desired side door gunner.

To aim the gun, press [LAlt + C] to enable mouse pan control mode. Once turned on, you can aim the gun using the mouse and fire by pressing [space]. Note, you can use the mouse wheel to zoom the view in and out, as well as ad- just the 3D position of the view by holding the mouse wheel down while moving the mouse.

When you switch to a gunner's position, an autopilot mode turns on to maintain the helicopter's flight path. The autopilot can be turned on and off manually by pressing [LWIN+A]. When you are in a door gunner's position, the helicopter will maintain the flight path set as the cockpit position was switched.

It would also be great if you could give simple commands to pilot from door gunners position, ie. bank left/right, climb/sink etc...

PC:

 

6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.

I perosnally can't wait until we can actually have two human pilots in the same aircraft. One could fly and one (maybe two) could be gunners. Would open the door for a range of multiseat aircraft.

If the door is opened, the gunner will engage all enemy units in its vicinity provided the bank angle allows for aiming. I have tried this, but got killed as a pilot and copilot and the gunners couldn't control the chopper. One thing I like though, the close/open door, stand up and secure animation. Very new and original to a simulator.

 

Can we have some sort of co-pilot chatter options? like moddable questions popping up and answers on F1-F12 keys?

 

Here are some:

 

1- What is our location?

2- Report contacts

3- SAM launch (X) O'clock

4- Bail out -> ROGER/CNTCO

5- get out ->

6- open the door/man the gun/secure the gun

7- Trip questions:

 

How many liters of blood can you lose from a 7.62mm?

What did you have for supper/dinner?

who's your favourite musician?

 

You know, I'm fantasizing. KNOCK IT OFF!!!!

 

It would be cool if Mayak radio is brought back. CCR, etc... in the background, bubble gum, or even dip... My ride!

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

 

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
