GunfighterSIX Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Ever since I installed 1.2.4 I can no longer flip on the SA-TLF power switch for the data link. I was wondering if anyone else is having that problem. HHC, 229th AHB, 1st Cav Div http://1stcavdiv.conceptbb.com/
Migow Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 hi ,it has never been implemented:( it's satellite telephony radio alimentation member of 06 MHR / FENNEC Mi-24P
JG14_Smil Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 The switch works with lua, but it does nothing as Fifou265 said.
Esac_mirmidon Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 No function, true, but before the switch could be flipped up and down. No it´s impossible to move it. " You must think in russian.." lanmancz Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Yeah, same here. I hear the clicking sound but the switch doesn't move. Looks like a little bug there. Erforce Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 it's not the first switch they "de-implemented" (no function anyway). We can't say it's a bug, as it's clearly intentionnal. DieHard Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Ever since I installed 1.2.4 I can no longer flip on the SA-TLF power switch for the data link. I was wondering if anyone else is having that problem. I noticed it. I was going to comment on it last week, like you have, but I re-read the flight manual and to my surprise, though it was always part of my start-up every time, that switch has no function. I don't think I ever did read about that switch. My fellow copter buddies' ID numbers on the ABRIS moving map still display ok. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
snuffles Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 What a cool switch. Clicks. Doesn't do anything. I don't always openly list my things. But when I do, I put it in my signature.
hreich Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 I always thought that switch was used for datalink operation? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Pilot from Croatia
seikdel Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Nope, satellite downlink, if memory serves. Perhaps tied to the special uplink control that's also not modeled?
Polo Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Found this same problem last night while doing a cold start - switch made noise but didn't move. Had assumed (wrongly) it was tied into the datalink. Looked it up in the current manual - page 6-78 (153 in the PDF) section 6-53 'Radio and data link power control panel' states it has no function. tietze Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 We can't say it's a bug, as it's clearly intentionnal. I don't know if it is clearly intentional. It is in no way consistent. If that was the case it should also be done for other non-functional switches like IFF. Please fix the KA-50 bugs :-) Black Shark: Controller profile & setup, TrackIR profile, pit. enigma6584 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Noticed it myself last week. I find myself surprisingly worried about it even though I know it does nothing. I'm so used to flipping it during start-up I find it distracting during flight when I look at it and it is still facing downward. Someone please help me. :helpsmilie: :pilotfly: I want my switch back ED! :joystick: ;)

gunterlund21 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 It does seem like a long thread about a switch that is documented to have no function. But then again I flip the IFF switch in hopes that I wont get shot down by friendly fire only to go into an MP mission and get hit from behind by my wingman. I was in Art of the Kill D#@ it!!!!
