No function, true, but before the switch could be flipped up and down.

No it´s impossible to move it.

Yeah, same here. I hear the clicking sound but the switch doesn't move. Looks like a little bug there.

Ever since I installed 1.2.4 I can no longer flip on the SA-TLF power switch for the data link. I was wondering if anyone else is having that problem.

I noticed it.

I was going to comment on it last week, like you have, but I re-read the flight manual and to my surprise, though it was always part of my start-up every time, that switch has no function. I don't think I ever did read about that switch. My fellow copter buddies' ID numbers on the ABRIS moving map still display ok.

Found this same problem last night while doing a cold start - switch made noise but didn't move. Had assumed (wrongly) it was tied into the datalink.

Looked it up in the current manual - page 6-78 (153 in the PDF) section 6-53 'Radio and data link power control panel' states it has no function.

We can't say it's a bug, as it's clearly intentionnal.

I don't know if it is clearly intentional. It is in no way consistent. If that was the case it should also be done for other non-functional switches like IFF.

Noticed it myself last week. I find myself surprisingly worried about it even though I know it does nothing. I'm so used to flipping it during start-up I find it distracting during flight when I look at it and it is still facing downward. Someone please help me. :helpsmilie: :pilotfly:

I want my switch back ED! :joystick: ;)

While I'm not so sure, I do really hope it is a positive result of all the blabber going on here at the forum ;-) I must admit that such undocumented changes/features/bugs bothers me if they are unintended!

If a line was added to the changelog/updates it would reflect being perceptive about their users and a rather cost effective way of getting reputation!

It does seem like a long thread about a switch that is documented to have no function. But then again I flip the IFF switch in hopes that I wont get shot down by friendly fire only to go into an MP mission and get hit from behind by my wingman.

I was in Art of the Kill D#@ it!!!!

The switches should be clickable just to be able to follow procedures to the letter. (immersion factor!)
