Aries Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Is it possible? Cause, last night I got hit bad... 4 Mavericks left on pylons but no guidance system and 2 GBU-38s who's love I could still spread... And I wanted to jettison the Mavs, but with no MFDs alive in my cockpit... I just couldn't... The load was to heavy and it simply drag me down in some hills... So, is there a key combo or something to jettison the active selected weapon in a Hawg? joey45 Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Mag to Grid and get out of Dodge.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. cichlidfan Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 No, not possible. and seriously, when hit that bad: you get out to fight another day. :) I think the idea is that under those circumstances you should jettison ALL weapons. Kill stuff! But yeah I think it's best at times like that to jettison it all, limp back if possible, eject if not, grab another plane and go get vengeance. http://www.youtube.com/user/311Gryphon i7-8700, 32 GB DDR4 3000, GTX 1080 TI 11GB, 240 GB SSD, 2TB HDD, Dual (sometimes Triple) monitor, TM Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro Combat Pedals, TrackIR [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Aries Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 My intensions were a little berserkish, if you know what I mean... The thing is, we just cleaned the target area of deadly threats, got hit by the lastest of the last evil deeds... Wanted to gain altitude and send em my two GBU-38s gift-wrapped and maybe spray some DU love, but couldn't due to 4 Mavs clinging dead-useless from my pylons... So, no selective jettisoning without functional MFDs, just the CTRL+W option eh? Damn... :inv: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
HugePanic Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 What happens ig you press the jettison button very short? I had the feeling yiu have hold it pressed until all weapons are gone. Maybe that way you can. Dump just a few....
Tholozor Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 You could have still used the HUD to designate a SPI for the JDAMs, unless that got messed up too. Aries Posted June 8, 2013 Author Posted June 8, 2013 Mavs guidance was gone... And yes, thats exactly what I wanted to do... drop my JDAMs on the HUD SPI... :joystick: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
