The Rafale or Mirage 2000-5 will never modeled (too moderns, classified informations, etc... ), the Mirage 2000C is being modeled by a third party team (so i think E.D don't want to compete with them), i suggest two "old school" French planes.

Mirage F1:

+ pretty cool

+ A2A and A2G capabilities

+ Recently used by: France, Spain, Greece, and other north african countries

Mirage III:

+ Delta wing (a new aerodynamic challenge)

+ Was used by many countries: France, Spain, Belgium, Swiss AND Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, Israel, South africa, and north african countries and arabia.

Tornado IDS/GR1/GR4, ECR and ADV would be fantastic. So much variation available on a single aircraft. Granted the ADV would be a slightly different model.

Blackburn Buccaneer. To fight Mig21s and partner up with the VEAO Lightning when it comes out.

Harrier FA2 or GR9

Harrier GR7/9

Anything with good, up to date A/G weapon systems - something that is lacking in all DCS aircraft and needs to be further developed (with the exception of A10-c)

FC3, F86 Sabre, Mig 21Bis, A10C, C-101, AJS-37 Viggen, F/A18-C Hornet, UH1-H Huey, AV8-N/A Harrier, Mirage 2000c, Spitfire MKix, Me BF109 K-4, Tornado GR4 (one day).

Tornado

If FreeFalcon Modders can do it, so can DCS.

Tornado - think of single-player as per Digital Integration's Tornado game or multi-player Co-op (Pilot/Nav) missions as per FSX TacPack - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHvKR4WqD6w.

DCS - is there a date by which you will be making your decision on which aircraft you will be creating??

If you go for the Tornado, you could (future) go for (worldwide aircraft) other 2-seaters - F-15E, F-14, etc.

I'am not sure i'm not saying a stupidity, but, many mentioned the Tornado while the title says "fixed-wing". The Tornado isn't a variable-sweep wing ? Is it considered as a "fixed wing" ?

Yes, the term fixed wing aircraft refers to non-helicopter aircraft because helicopters are rotary wing aircrafts.

Fixed Wing: "normal" planes

Rotary Wing: helicopters

But yeah, strictly speaking sweep wing aircraft aren't really >fixed< wing aircraft :D

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Better is too ask for fighterq that are old like mirage F1 or mirage III.

Or the Sepecat jaguar.

A Harrier; Old but many conflicts and DCS doesn't have a VTOL fixed-wing aircraft yet.

Even better it's much easier to model than any other craft listed here!

Radar doesn't work.

Sidewinders, if you are lucky, even luckier if they work

Radio doesn't work.

HUD unreliable, aka doesn't really work.

;)

At least it seems to plague the Gr3, Sea Harriers seemed to fair better in the Falklands.

Had a read of an interesting book called: RAF Harrier Ground Attack Falklands by a quite unhappy RAF pilot by the name of Jerry Pook.

Personally I would like to see a Harrier. Would love to see an F14 though, yeah the US is in Europe right >_> same hemisphere......

:P

They must be fixed to something or there could be lift issues...:D

One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales...

:)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)

I think proper water physics would have to come first.

You do know air and water are the same thing, right?;)

Yes, but I don't think that means they can just cut and paste code to make it work.

Depends on how sophisticated the modeling of air is in DCS. ;)

In all seriousness, you're probably right. Now that I'm thinking of it, I wonder if actual air/sea simulations exist of which you only have to change the density to switch from water to air with all aerodynamics still in effect. Maybe only some military grade project but then you wouldn't really need that as it's unlikely the same simulator is used for watercraft and aircraft.
