Cnuke Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I saw that lines also. They are appearing just very briefly. I didn't know why they were appeared but I have associate them to multiplayer lag/spike, because in the same time I have seen other players warping more or less. I have 5.27 version installed for Nvidia 770 and AMD R9 and saw the same behaviour on both. However, never saw it on singleplayer. My screenshots are from singleplayer, quickstart. It's the P-51 free flight somewhere at sea after a few minutes I saw this happening.

I've never seen such a bug before in the cockpit, could you post an example? I saw that lines while flying over land. the cloud shadows will distort anywhere on the map, change F11 or external views lots of times and the clouds will disappear and the shadows will not know how to render their position properly (this is NOT a result of using this mod) Edited July 17, 2014 by Mustang
Abburo Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Thank you for explanations, wasn't aware about this behaviour until now. It just happened to see somebody else having similar artefacts and I thought it might help troubleshooting. I also want now to thank you for this mod which makes the landscape more natural and promise to not bother you anymore :). Cibit Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Hi Mustang sorry for the delay with testing. Got a new zoom lens for the camera and had to go play with it:music_whistling: Looking in my archive I have only 5.09, 5.24 and 5.28 which would you like the comparisons of? i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB

Yeah this bug has been around forever in DCS World, hopefully when EDGE comes we will see the last of it. BTW you're not 'bothering' me, feel free to ask any questions about the mod and i'll try my best to give answers
NRG-Vampire Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Yeah this bug has been around forever in DCS World, hopefully when EDGE comes we will see the last of it. yeah, afaik that bug appears only why you choose standard weather, so when you go far from current clouds (point on a map) by your aircraft or a camera and when you come back to the same point on map then those "current" clouds dissapear and/or make those stange lines usually on the sea surface that bug is not appears when you choose dynamic weather - afaik, so you should test it guys

Mustang Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 I'm seeing this now. Again, this bug is not related to the mod, FARP lights are already known to have lighting bug.

Mainstay Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Mustang are you using SweetFX with your mod? If so can you give me a downloadlink to your sweetfx settings file.

SkateZilla Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I think I switched to Normal HDR a few weeks ago, when I was trying to do screenshots. I went from Cold to Warm to Normal, I think I left it on Normal. After which I finally backed up the originals and installed the Environment Mod. Which is what I was using in the last A-10C and P-51 Shots I Posted here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2122835&postcount=9844 http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2122838&postcount=9845 Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

Because if it wasent so bright i prefer the warmer colors. I attached my SweetFX_settings It might be something that can be tuned in hdr.fx, especially in this section (line 320 #ifdef HARD is WARM HDR) #ifdef HARD //composite = lerp(diffuse * 1.3, l * BLUE_SHIFT, 0.2) / I; composite = lerp(diffuse, diffuse * l + diffuse * 0.6, SunPower * 0.7) / I; composite = composite + (color * sunP * rays.rgb * rays.a + color * mask * 0.5) * isOvercast; composite = composite + blur * isOvercast * 2.0; float OV = min(overcast + 0.4, 1.0); return float4(composite * OV * 0.95, 1.0); #endif update: it's easy, just lower SunPower * 0.7 to a much lower figure such as 0.35 and the light bloom is reduced by 50% - i could update the mod so this setting is in force...
