Don't mean to be so blunt, but do you mind if we could have those SFX settings? :D

If you want to talk to anyone about anything personal, send it to their PM box. Interpersonal drama and ad hominem rebuttal are things that do not belong on a thread viewed by the public.

One thing i have to point out... naming a thread.. "OK, so" is as useful as tits on a bull.

Yes, mod is working now too. Just still is present the flickering of shadows like in patch of DCS before.

A friend of mine had something similar, was bad VRAM on his GPU. Might be worth a check.

Still getting crashes online but less frequent without the high visibility mod.

 

Have to investigate this issue further it seems ESM has nothing to do with it.

Easily, bad memory block/sector :) can give weird errors etc

Nope, bad as in "faulty" or "not functioning correctly." He got it replaced under warranty and ended up with a better card. :thumbup:

Yeah, caused all sorts of issues in all kinds of games, and was a right pain to pin down the cause.

 

Also, a bit more on topic, v5.63 of the shader mod is seriously awesome, couple of times I could have sworn it was EDGE!

Hey mustang always wanted to ask you since your the expert on this environment and shader stuff. Is their any way to add a mirage aka heat blur effect to the ground? Wondering if that will be implemented in dcs 2.0 since official desert terrain is coming.

Either way your work is amazing I can't tell you enough how awesome your works looks in 3d. Only problem I have in 3d is the horizon line will be at wrong depth with fog and the shore reflections will be wrong depth also. Wondering if you could point me in direction of what I would have to change via lua to correct that or totally turn off the shore reflections.

 

Awesome work! Have to say with this .12 patch it even looks better

I'll give it a try thanks Mustang, the specific area I have problems is the sea shore, so where the water almost looks transparent and you can see the sea floor sort of graphical effect. So basically all along the shore it's all goofy in 3d. I'll give your no reflections a try and maybe even see if water at low will fix the problem. Again it's only a problem on the sea shore, the rivers and small lakes have no problems.

The only other problem is the horizon line being at wrong depth which is very noticeable when you have a fog bank or a very overcast sky at lower altitudes.

Gave it a try no joy in 3d oh well no biggee been flying that way for over a year . Will say your newest version looks ridiculously awesome so much so that when dcs 2.0 comes out I don't think it will be a uber shocker coming from this mod good job!
