Hey, when is it going to be added? It makes the speed sensation up :)

i agree with you OttoPus, doesn't give me any speed sensation

I wonder if a clever post-process shader could be used, like the HDR effects we have now (a depth-of-field effect would be nice too)

+1 for depth of field. Would multiply the realism of the sim by a million. It's utterly unrealistic to have everything in perfect focus (particularly fences with sharp edges!)

I like MB, saw it in few games and think it'd be good to see.

Tried also to use ENB series and SweetFX but somehow DCS crashed when using this, so no bloom effects I like.

Moving the rendering subsystem to DX11 should allow for easier implementation of high instruction count shaders such as motion blur, HBAO, DoF and more. However, these do hit the GPU very hard - as such I'm not sure whether it's a sound investment at the moment.

If it's going to be implemented then please add an option to turn it off. Personally motion blur is the first thing I turn off in games - but Arma3 for example has a nice slider so you can keep it very subtle - I keep it at 20% and thats OK - it doesn't really provide any more speed sensation but makes looking around feel more smooth at this low level.

Recently it was added to World of Tanks, and I think it looks much better now. When you focus on the other tank (it has similar speed to you) you see a bit blurred background and crisp tank.

I like it.

But agree should be option to turn it off and on (or slider).

According to Wags, new effects are on hold until EDGE is out.

FoV Blurring would be nice, it's too easy to pick out stuff on the far edge of my side screen while I'm focused on stuff in front of me, a lil gradual increase in blur might be just what the doctor ordered..

Zero blurring. All it does is eat FPS and it's not needed at all. I need FPS for air to air, not blur.

What's wrong with making it optional?

Blur just isn't something you'll really see when flying an aircraft except when you are really, really close to the ground, and then only within the surrounding 50m. I'd rather see other effects first, like high-AoA vapor over wings. I'd also rather see different qualities of NVGs, glints and other visual things that are actually part of air combat.

it doesnt have to be blur specifically,

A dynamic FoV would work just as well with a tweaked version of the blackout effect,

As FoV Closes, everything on the edges of the screen will be stretched and Appear to go by faster.

I think I actually lowered my FoV in graphics.lua so my side screens are a lil more stretched to make objects in the sides go by faster at low altitudes. However, the effect doesnt seem fluid at 30 FPS, which is what I locked my FPS at to maintain Vsync.

Proper blurring can even improve FPS. If the engine knows it will show certain objects blurry, it renders them with a lesser LOD at the times the blur occurs. For instance Mass Effect 3 (2 maybe as well) does this and the older Guild Wars MMO had very good blurred graphics for its time. If you turned blur off you'd see nothing but plain old textures.
