Slipp Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 How is Eurofighter coming along? Can we expect some eye candy soon? :)

Ells228 Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 A lot of background work sketching out the systems and how to tackle and what to tackle first. No eye candy apart from what's been show I'm afraid, just the boring stuff in the background :)

No eye candy apart from what's been show I'm afraid, just the boring stuff in the background :) How are the legalities going? Last I heard there was an ongoing legal snag holding things up. (Obviously no details, but just wondering if progress is being made in the right direction?) Thanks! "Pride is a poor substitute for intelligence." RAMBO

Python Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 There's a boring side to DCS: FrickinTyphoonHellYeah? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
kazereal Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 There's a boring side to DCS: FrickinTyphoonHellYeah? Isn't that the most interesting part though..? (or is it just me..) "I would have written a shorter post, but I did not have the time."

(Obviously no details, but just wondering if progress is being made in the right direction?) Thanks! They have legal problems with Typhoon also? I thought it was just the Hawk.
Pman Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 They have legal problems with Typhoon also? I thought it was just the Hawk. Dont panic, we just have to be careful due to the sensitive nature of some parts of the Typhoon Pman
Slipp Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Roger that. Good luck with Typhoon, flight sim community is very eager to fly it. :)

Pman Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Any Updates? :-) Apologies I missed this post Work is continuing and at the moment a good deal of focus has been with the remodel and agreeing sources for information regarding some of the more sensitive bits of equipment, We hope to have a new model to show you in the coming months.

So BAE has a digital representation of one of their aircraft already, did they issue themselves a licence to build and display it? Sons of Dogs, Come Eat Flesh Clan Cameron
Pman Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 So BAE has a digital representation of one of their aircraft already, did they issue themselves a licence to build and display it? Bae doesn't do the license for the tiffie so I don't know :) Pman
Rangi Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 So BAE has a digital representation of one of their aircraft already, did they issue themselves a licence to build and display it? I'm guessing there is a big difference between a mobile app game and a PC simulation, legally and playability wise.... PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
chev255 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 As Pman indicated, the Typhoon's manufacturer is not BAe (but Eurofighter Gmbh)
Buckeye Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 With how classified most things of the systems, etc. of the Eurofighters are currently, what is your expectation on how "close to the real thing" you all can actually make your Eurofighter sim, Pman? For example, the A-10C is not 100% exact but it is pretty darn close...if you got in an A-10C IRL you could work your way around on the systems based on what is modeled in the game. How closely can the Eurofighter be replicated? Not attempting to be negative at all here, I am just curious of your level of expectation from someone that would know. Rig: SimLab P1X Chassis | Tianhang Base PRO + Tianhang F-16 Grip w/ OTTO Buttons | Custom Throttletek F/A-18C Throttle w/ Hall Sensors + OTTO switches and buttons | Slaw Device RX Viper Pedals w/ Damper Tactile: G-Belt | 2x BK LFE + 1x BK Concert | 2x TST-429 | 1x BST-300EX | 2x BST-1 | 6x 40W Exciters | 2x NX3000D | 2x EPQ304 PC/VR: Somnium VR1 Visionary | 4090 | 12700K
Silver_Dragon Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 If VEAO get a Eurofighter military contract, and that has approved to release on the entrainment market (with limitations similar to ED Air National Guard A-10C suite 5), all can be possible.
