NWS doesnt work for me

Hi,

 

trying to activate my nosewheelsteering on my Hotas Warthog Joystick (pinky switch last bottom knob) but i cant activate it.

 

Any one els?

Did you copy/keep your control config from 1.2.6 by any chance?

 

If so you may need to remap NWS.

Thanks Eddie, thats what i tried to do but i have no effect.

 

Found that two buttons were set for my rudder and one was for the nsw. I will test it rightt now.

For all of you who like me notice this missing keybind only after joining MP: The keyboard command for Nose Wheel Steering/NWS is INSERT. I had to alt-tab and google after a real hard braking (yeah, I should have checked that the light is illuminated...).

 

Did you notice anything else missing? I haven't so far, but only did a short training flight.

not at the moment but the nsw problem is in the rampstart mission

 

 

Yes it was that tiny little problem that it was bound to the rudder.

Happend to me as well after the 1.2.7 update. It was bound properly but didn't work. Clearing the key bind and re-entering it solved it for me.

I experienced the same problem even though it was map correctly it didn't work, clearing and re-mapping the NWS under the HOTAS fixed this problem for me also.

Just out of curiosity, do all of you guys use the TM Warthog? On my X52 the key mapping works perfectly fine and I also imported my files over from 1.2.6. NWS and refuel disconnect worked fine for me last night and today.

I'd had the same issue during the quick start mission that I could not fire the laser using the NWS button on my TM Warthog.. The insert keyboard key worked fine. The clear and reassign trick worked for me.

I am in on this,TM Hotas owner. I joined a MP server, started up the A10-C and wanted to taxi, but NWS didn't work. First I thought my controls were screwed after the update (first flight) but when I went into the controls everything looked fine. Restarted and NWS worked.

Addendum: My NWS wasn't bound at all.

All other controls were just fine after the updater did its work (I didn't work with the configs manually).

Just speculation on my part, but since everyone who has had this problem uses a Warthog, it may have something to do with that. I never had any issues with mapping on my X52 after the updates.

Ive stopped fly for quite some time now and come back to read about ongoing problems,, heres what I have learned so far, with every fix comes a break,,,,, I cant keep up with it myself,, when I was flying, I spent more time in the forums searching for a solution to a problem,, I had to take a break!

I had the same problem in 1.2.7 and had to remap the NWS, because the button on the HOTAS(button 3) was set as a modifier.

You have to delete this button from the modifier list and you're good to go!

in v127, my Warthog Joystick Button 3 was assigned to the NWS but also to another function (the Throttle Button 3 was also assigned to that other function). I Cleared the second assignment and then the NWS worked fine.

I think I had the same prob than above. Forgot what the 2nd mapping was but I think it was trim reset something... Deleted the assignment and everything was back to normal.

Myself and buddy had the same problem with Warthog HOTAS and 1.2.7

Deleted NWS assignment and reassigned it. No problems since.
