Its simply an ED version of / replacement for the phased out M2k-C. Because of that maybe thrown out too early for EA. Just look at the loadout. It is not meant to take on DCS's F14/16/18. -
Has someone done a expanded weapon mod on the new Mig-29 like the FC3 version has? Curious as to what actually works on it in order to replicate ukrainian mig-29s against russia with agm-88, gbu bomb trucks, etc.

According to my experience, there are usually 2 sets of PRMGs installed at an airfield. Only one of them is turned on, depending on the active runway. This is very similar to ILS.

It happens only with the Mig29. The button is assigned to one of the Virpil Throttle and I'm sure it works well: with other aircrafts no issue at all... but the strange part is that it won't exit the zoom when I end the flight! Anyway I'll try what you suggest. thanks

Is the spyglass/VR zoom function assigned to a key/joystick button? If yes, it might worth checking whether your controller/keyboard is acting up, sending unwanted pulses. To confirm this, you can try by unassigning all VR zoom/spyglass zoom key/button assignments. If the problem disappears, then you know you have a controller issue. Otherwise, must investigate further. I've been flying the 29 in VR quite often and never had any issue similar to what you're describing.

Hello ED team, As you probably know, on the Afghanistan map and some other DCS World maps we can’t fully enjoy the sandstorm effect. Would it be possible to add an option to adjust the altitude of sandstorms in the mission editor, so that we can make better use of this feature? I am onto something. I managed to get the ACFS to work, but it implied some very specific settings, even with the JustFlyIt profile for the Mig-29 ... basically those in red, and more specifically prolly those in yellow (only showing elevator here, but assume same setting for ailerons) i have tried using these setting with my personal profile, but not only this is way too strong, but also some other settings seems to interfere. As a temporary solution, I now simply cold start with this profile, and switch to my favorite profile as part of my take off check list. It would be great if ED implemented an option to simply exclude the FFB interaction with the AFCS test though, because this get very complicated. for example, in the instant action cold start there is some wind (24kmh) that in my FFBeast telemetry also causes the AOA to go from -5 to +20 degree... since I have some effects linked to the AOA stall shake, this also creates some force in the stick on the ground, prolly making the AFCS auto test to fail.

When fully loaded, would I be correct in assuming that there needed to be a decent headwind, with the ship heading into the sea wind at say 20+ knots?

I couldn't replicate this at first, but I believe I've found what was going wrong. I made some changes in the trigger logic, and it should be okay now. I tested a few times and it works. I'll try to go through multiple scenarios. Hey Don, I loaded up your sandbox last night but was a little confused as to how to get the missions or what I was supposed to do once I got the plane up and flying? Do I do it all through the F10 menus or is each slot assigned a certain mission? I’m trying to use the mission and make a video for YouTube and show off how this all works. Thank you!! Oh and lastly is it okay if I change all the planes and helo’s on your other missions to Hotstart? Thank again!!! Oops after looking in the ZIP file I saw the mission PDF which makes things a littler easier to understand! I didn’t see that before. So does each mission that is assigned to a specific aircraft have all the information regarding target size, look etc in their Kneeboards or do you just wing it so to say? Sorry for all the questions. I just want to make sure I fully understand this so I don’t tell people the wrong thing on the video. I’ll probably choose a couple different aircraft to show the different mission sets. Thanks again. Oh BTW I just posted a video of your Operation Firestorm. I still haven’t beet that thing!! So I was trying to place an AI F9F Panther to land on the Essex carrier in mission editor and I was able to place the second waypoint on the carrier so that the mod can land on it but once I select it to land, it just gone back to being a turning point when I click on the aircraft again Digital Combat Simulator 2025-09-21 08-25-55.mp4
