  3. I set this up by using DCS’s export data (Export.lua) to read cockpit light ID's. ID's (gear, AoA, strobe, afterburner etc.) are sent out to a small Node.js bridge. (working on powershell atm.) The bridge converts them into simple WebSocket messages. On the SignalRGB, I wrote a custom HTML canvas effect. That effect listens to the data and lights up my RGB. (Each lights position can be arranged right inside the SignalRGB canvas) So when gear moves, AoA blinks, or burners fire, my desk lights do the same. Still tweaking, i managed to get less latency today (50-100 ms)
  4. Build realistic Ocean surface by FumeFX
  5. Whole earth technology has a true realistic curved terrain and by the Wags talk on your last video, we will fly from one to another map.
  6. Honestly, I don't think so. None of the above fixes your missing CCD and SMT being set to OFF. I wonder what else is wrong with your Bios if those obvious things are wrong. My recommendation, show us another screenshot of your Taskmanager while you are idling on Desktop. It should show 32 ( thirtytwo ) cores, not 8 !!. I expect more being mistuned, looking at the whole picture.
  7. Hey @currenthill, What about all the other systems described here? Thank you!
  8. I stopped the work on the mods for now. The highskid was ok for photo flying and landing on ground, but not on ships etc. It obviously needs a new collision model for the UH-1, which I did just very basically, no damage model or other functions associated with it. In the end its not usable as plug and play mod, although it looks quite cool I think. Perhaps inspiration for someone else? But - thanks much for the interest.
  9. I don't know it's properties except it's mounted on T90 chassis. But I just fired some 200+ 30 mike mike from the M230. And all i got was a bit of smoke. Even if the chassis could take that. I doubt the rocket launcher part could.
  10. Thank you. You are absolutely right that in this campaign the player carries a lot of responsibility. The campaign is completely different from a typical scripted one and is specifically designed for players who, in addition to flying, are also interested in planning missions and assessing the bigger picture in order to define and achieve strategic objectives. Fortunately, there are dozens of scripted campaigns available if mission planning doesn’t sound appealing. The ED team has now reviewed the campaign and some fixes have been made according to their requests. It looks like things are moving toward release.
  11. I have had this setup with DOF H3 and Pimax Crystal Light for a year now and have some input: First I think it's very important to also get a motion compensation device if you are in VR. There are a few ways to do this, but I chose the Witmotion sensor that SRS (software vendor) recommends. Without the motion compensation you will get strange motions around inside the cockpit since the headset will pick up the headset moving around in the room in the real world while you are actually sitting relatively still in your cockpit seat in the virtual world. Some remarks on the OP input: >Maybe it was the tuning of the software, but both left me a little underwhelmed on the first try in each. It was less about the amount of roll, but more the speed of response. Neither felt truly natural, e.g. the squat you get under breaking whilst driving The speed and reaction is actually very fast/strong. This can and must be tuned. I experienced the whole rig jumping around on the floor when for example crashing because I had too high speed. There are many sliders for max angel, speed, boost, smoothing etc. and this needs to be tuned. (There are some example profiles to be found, but not many for DCS. Hopefully more people will have this setup over time and we will see more examples.) So I don't think you should be worried about the speed of the response. Of course it's electric motors and some inertia is unavoidable, but I have not experienced this as a problem. >Whilst I wasn't that impressed with either DOF unit whilst using a monitor, that impression changed when in VR, which I got to use with FS2020. I can't explain why, but when I was in VR, the feeling of immersion from the DOF was significantly more effective The combination of visual input in VR and physical input combined is very strong. A complete roll or loop won't feel totally realistic of course, but banking and pitching feels very real. Even though the banking angle of the rig is much less than in the VR world the combination makes it feel very real. Having a motion rig without VR don't make sense to me, at least not for flightsims. Below you see some of the parameters that can be tuned for the motion part. a27d24_39919c0801394f14b84b2ad3909056a7_mv2.avif

  14. Today
  15. Hello, How is this done? TY/J
  16. Thanks Bandit for these new versions. For being sure to make good tries this morning, I've began to update my nVidia drivers then I've deleted the "metashaders" and " fxo" directories in saved games\DCS\ and I've deleted the nVidia cache excepted the files in use, of course. Then I've installed your low resolution mod 1.9 and I've launch the missions heavily charged with items on which I had the heavy freezes since some days. I also thought to exclude the directories of "DCS", "Saved Game\DCS" and "nVidia cache" from the W11 defender analysis. It's really better now and yes I had short freezes yet but I think that they were freezes due to the new shaders generation. And I was pleasantly to see how great are your clouds even in low resolution. As I've already said, DCS would be not the same without your mod.
  17. I honestly don't get the difference: maybe you wish to provide screenshots so we can see the difference? However why Syria compare to Germany? What about Iraq and Afghanistan or Marianas?
  18. La7 can be flown against all the axis planes, you can add Russian lend lease A20s, Spitfires, and P47s, use the Kola and Germany maps (I know modern but you can remove objects in mission editor). I am a bit disappointed that third party planes does not have ED damage model, they have a simplified damage model, hope this changes. Some assets for PTO can also be used in ETO and be correct historically.
  19. That's always the problems. The people who don't read the update logs will send a bug report and ED probably doesn't want to bother themselves with that. That's why it would be better to put it as an option, disabled by default that ONLY people aware of it would enable this functionnality. Oh I didn't understand it well. I guess that users should be more aware of what's happening in their sim. Dropping at least 70$ in a virtual plane isn't common so the least thing they could do is to rtfm as @upyr1 said
  21. For me that's a giant wall of bookcases with about 300-400 kits still in boxes awaiting completion. There's plenty finished but still, I know I'll never build them all.
  22. Hey, Nothing seems to be off in Control Settings. Here are the tracks: So can't actuate the switch before pressing it with the mouse cursor. FA-18_Starting_from_Ramp_Hot.trk FA-18_Starting_from_Runway.trk
  23. Hello. What part of the map of Afghanistan is needed for this company? Thank you.
  24. So... Went ahead and did a sanity check before making changes and found that I was able to reproduce the issue in 2D and SP, which seems to indicate that it is something in my client PC. Then I deleted the fxo and metashaders2 folders to no effect. Decided to double check everything before reverting versions (since it was working fine after the last update). First, I turned the PC off and booted again to go into the BIOS (PC is turned off every night). Nothing changed there as expected, but "saved" and exited the BIOS anyway. Tested DCS again and problem went away... So, I'm scratching my head a little bit...
  25. Mission 2 update after latest map update that set trees at starting spot. Cheers
  26. You may need to adjust your stick itself (if you can). The "pulse" coming out of the hardware may be longer than you think. The F-16 trim works really well for me with a VKB Gladiator. -Ryan
