  5. Meanwhile the Morroco/South Sahara zone will be arid.... Canary Island and Spanish peninsula has a complete diferent terrain.
  6. Yeah, very curious as to what will happen. My current version has been having no issues so I have not updated for a few updates. I was waiting for this update, but would like some feedback before I do.
  7. I think Okinawa, up the Ryu-Kyus and onto southern Kyushu could be doable and desirable. Certainly makes more sense than Iwo Jima as a standalone, even though adding Iwo onto the Mariannas map could be feasible.
  8. Wags talked about improvements on Dynamic Campaign
  9. It's in the patchnote. But no clue how to use it.
  10. What the others said is correct. Unfortunately, the in-game experience with what the tanker tells you is misleading. After an accidental disconnect the tanker is not allowed to connect to you before you cycled your door (restarts the AAR system). This is mandatory to do in The F-4 (IRL as well, ofc) before it can receive fuel again. The tanker in DCS doesnt yet understand this special situation and will gladly put the boom in again - just to immediately receive a message from our code that he must not do this. The tankers reaction to that code-wise currently seems to be to disconnect and conclude you are fully refueled and happy. ED is aware and looking for a solution to improve the user experience.
  11. Ok, after the patch and updating the openXR Motion Compensation to the latest version it works! BUT, MY HONEST and questionable OPINION is that: in the headset even with ULTRA preset and no upscaling looks and runs smooth and fine...BUT with this update, even trying to play around with the settings I'm not able to have a good enough quality in the screen recording as I had with the older PimaxPlay version and Tally Mouse QuadViews Companion.. the %'s do not match and the screen recording looks way worse..so I rolled back to 1.40.1.. I know that screen recording it's something that a lot of players don't care about but I do!
  12. While the conflict on a broader scheme is interesting, it would be another arid and somewhat sandy map.
  13. You need to make sure the fuel door is cycled in and out before the aircraft is able to receive fuel (you should note that if the ready light isn't illuminated, the aircraft can't receive fuel). https://f4.manuals.heatblur.se/systems/engines_and_fuel_systems/fuel_system.html#air-refuel-switch
  14. I read and understood what you said, so you don't have to patronize me. If this interaction is upsetting you then you don't have to respond. You can ignore this completely and go about your day doing other things. I have a issue that I would like to learn more about it all. So my question to all of this is WHY. WHY can you only get FULL fuel if you are under 4,000lbs, WHY? What if a pilot IRL takes a tank thinking he or she will need it but learns while flying that it isn't needed/required? What if he/she can't jettison the tank (civilian population or malfunction)? What if they don't (or aren't able to) burn ALL of the fuel? If a pilot lands in real life with 4,100lbs (h3ll, let's call it 4,001lbs even) and has to rearm and refuel quickly to get back on mission (they don't have time to ground jettison the center tank and add a new one), in real life again, does the crew tell them "f@ck you, you didn't land with under 4,000lbs so we aren't going to fill that center tank completely or at all, you get your ass back up there" even though the next flight might require 8,500lbs of fuel (make up number, whatever). Is there a limitation with the tanks mechanically so to speak. Is this an actual real life restriction/constraint/limitation with the external fuel tanks (seems funny to me if it is)? I just want to know WHY this is happening. Was designed that way in the game intentionally or on accident? Is it was a bug? Is that how they do it IRL (maybe they do tell the pilot f@ck you, who knows)? I just want to know WHY. By the way it does work when you are under 4,000lbs and you do get topped off.... but WHY?
  15. That sounds like it's working as intended. Like I said, if there is axis jitter that leads to this behavior, you can tune the slew control axes and add a center deadzone. The HDC itself is free to be on any spot on the ground, but if you slew the HDC, it'll snap to inside the HMCS' field of view (if it's outside the FOV when the slew is commanded). I don't quite understand what you mean by exaggerated. Can you record a short track that shows the issue?
  16. I hope so too. I was reading the changelog just 5 minutes ago.
  17. Just give it a go again but making sure to cycle the fuel door if he says transfer complete and calling back in.
  18. I have no other asset mods than the Currenthill releases. I just would like to understand whether there is a conflict between those and the DCS Currenthill release.
  19. Just about to try this and in comes a DCS update ....... cant make this sh** up
  20. Added: Currenthill Asset Pack - finally! Thank you!
  21. always best to remove unofficial mods for patches.
