  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, but without zoom and I'm not sure about the color tint.
  3. Correct, and I said I doubt that they will overhaul this systems. But as player I have to ask the question what it will add to my experience. The Campaign AI is the system, they have to develope to make a dynamic war setting and will be the big challange I think, but still the question is, what is it for. To just fly around with AI wingmans that don´t realy have the ability to fight as a team with you against other AI bandits that cannot perform any realistic manouvers? To hear those terrible ATC? I can imagine the awacs making an hours long monoloqe on bogey calls while enemy flights are jumping blindy on everthing that moves because they are unable to make tactic decisions that make any sence. My imagination is not great enough to see the benefit. Without a new bandit AI it would be hard to go on meanigfull sorties with some friends but alone? Only to put things in perspective, in other sims the AI can give you a real challange by applying game plans that force you to go cold before your missile is pitbull and even crossing sides before engangement to distract your flights sorting. They notch and evade missiles and coordinate their attacks. They react on threats by scrambling aditional forces or trick you into sambushes. AI escorts ignore enemy flights that would be in range but don´t threat the flight they are escorting. In the handcraftet campaign the campaign creator sets up the threat picture with tons of triggers and manages the AI behavior as far as possible to make it at least look like a somehow realistic or logic behavior but who will do this in a dynamic campaign?

  8. Да и фоновые обои могли быть интереснее. У 29х из ГС выглядит красивее. Но может доделают ещё...
  9. Yes this is a question of realism/immersion vs. accessibility. For me Badgers campaigns were a great starting point, I like them very much and when I come home late and nobody wants to fly with me, I still replay them from time to time, because it takes just 10 minutes to read the briefing and you get a step by step discription of what you will have to do. But as a fan of more realistic and challanging campaigns I realy apreciate that Baltic and Reflected didn´t make it too easy. The sorties are indeed well prepared a make a lot of sence. Luckily the military slang can be learnded and there are some usefull tools out there. Google keyword brevity codes and you will find much information. There are even kneeboard pages to download which you can save in the hornets kneeboard folder so that it will be persistant in every mission or make your one kneeboard pages by simply making a text file and save a sceenshot as png. There are also nice YT tutorials about BRAA calls and how to find a target with bullseye coordinates. I would also recomand to read the PDF briefings bevor starting DCS. So a mission can easily fill your evening. Another helpful thing is to learn basic BVR tactics so you know what to do when commiting a bandit group. Much of the information you are looking for is implicit. And if your short on time, consider to use immortal mode to avoid frustration by getting shot from a pop up threat after 2 hours of preparation and flying. You´ll get better with time and as you do, you will enjoy the campaign more and more.
  10. That is good news. Would you like to tell us what you are working on in detail? For the Cold War NATO Training Server I only used.basic features offered by the ME to keep it as simple as possible. The pilots/squadrons plan their missions based on what's given.
  11. What do you mean?
  12. DC is all about AI doing their missions generated by simulated "command". It is mostly about moving the frontline by using the available resources - attack, defense, recon, support, hence the cargo/warehouse system has to work - to win the war. The player(s) can be part of this. I don't know where people get the idea that DC will overhaul the AI, comms or whatever. It's a wishlist thread though and I support of course any move on that front
  13. Жалко, кстати, что в меню модулю не сделали индивидуальную музыкальную тему. Вроде модуль-веха, а возможность упустили.
  14. Yeah it would be a good add-on.
  15. One thing I absolutely don´t get is the focus on single player. This makes no sence at all. Especially considering the shortcommings of the AI as a wingman. So we get a dynamic battlefield with by nature generic missions. No handcraftet voiceovers or scripted events that give you a sence of immersion. This would be like playing randomly generated quick mission editor missions. It coul´d work, when you plan and excecute your flight in a team with other players but surrounded by AI wingmans that are dumb as hell this doesn´t sound like fun for me in any way. The only way this could work would be by a complete and drastic overhaul of the AI and a totally new and immersive comms system. Maybe they are working on this and I get suprised, but given everything you hear about ED and their prioritys I doubt it. Someday we will see, I hope.

  17. Same problem, the pitch trim is alright, but aileron trim I just keep waggling from left to right and back, I can never get it trimmed out. What does help is pressing the “trim reset” button just before Take off and then just shooting and dropping everything in pairs so the aileron trim stays centered. (Wasnt it Soviet doctrine anyways to always fire in pairs?) Would be nice if the trim was a little bit less sensitive though. Apart from that, I love flying the Mig-29, great module!!!
  18. I've drawn an approximate design. On the F-4, it is installed on the bottom right.

  19. Thanks for the explanation . Good to know I did not break the plane at least I did turn off AP and back and it did not go away. Will do some more tests. As you say, might need to pull the breaker to reset it, if the first action does not fix it. Then again, not having the AP on when pulling Gs is the real solution
  20. Yes, please @Hiob will like it implemented too.
  21. I don’t think we’ll know what they plan for Lazur until release or Wags video.
  22. Yes, could be fixed as they are contrast white IRL:
  23. Lots of Youtube, training missions and rinse-repeat then you get there in time... The fighter jets is also without training instructors too...
  24. As noted above by @Mach3DS the model itself isn't that important to skinning (unless we could use it in Substance Painter and AFAIK none of the skinners use SP generally). Maybe if they are part of a development team where they are allowed access to the 3D model and are constrained by an NDA will they use SP. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to be able to make use of SP but I have done pretty well without it as long as I have full use of the MV. What IS needed is unencrypted access to the textures and shapes through MV and it's wonderful tools. Why these files are encrypted makes no sense to me as far as protecting the IP of ED's products. They have insisted that the 3D model is what is being pirated (and it's apparent that it is being ripped by unscrupulous parties but fail to note how easily the encryption of the 3D models is overcome) and thus the reason for this whole fiasco. I fail to see the threat to IP by allowing access to textures and shapes (edm files). How would a bad actor make any money selling these by themselves? As @thepod / FIsh says: "Please ED, work with us and let us help you."
