  4. Hi av8orDave. Early access can be as long as it needs to be for the module, its a process where we give huge discount to users who then are able to enjoy the module and development process and give feedback that helps development. Some enjoy being part of the process and watching the modules grow to completion and some do not, and I understand early access does not suit everyone. The team are working on tasks and as soon as those tasks are ready they are tested for the patch releases. Patch notes will show the work being completed. thank you
  5. Is there any sort of "guidance" around how long early access is supposed to last for these modules? This was released over a year ago and still doesn't have a functional CDU. Seems kind of, I don't know, wild. Hard to believe someone is working every day on this. I don't mean to be negative, but it might be good to set expectations appropriately.
  6. When I cold start, I always align my HMD. I have set up a vehicle about three miles from the end of the runway so I can boresight my Mavericks prior to takeoff. I use the latest procedure for boresighting. When I reach the target area the maverick is pointing in the vicinity of the target according to the TGP, but it is never actually on the target. I align the maverick manually and press the alignment button again. I fire, hit the target , CABOOMBIE and all that. Select the next target and the Maverick is off again according to the TGP. When using the D type I have the TGP set to AUTO and the Maverick set to PRE. When using the H type I have the TGP set to MAN and the Maverick set to PRE. I understand that the Maverick has to be in range for the AUTO handoff to work on the D type andAUTO handoff does not work on the H type. I'm convinced that the alignment process does not workcorrectly when cold starting. I am using the old targeting pod and D type mavericks. Regards

  9. A note about this livery. It was the original file included with the File 404 Super Hornet model, so this is basically an update of that skin, bringing it into the current mod. The majority of work was his, so I did credit him, but did some tweaks to make it right:

  11. I've got mine set to 35% for the Y axis saturation for both the X axis RDR cursor and the Y axis RDR cursor. Also, make sure th eTGP is set as SOI. I you have the HUD set as SOI, for example, the crsor will move much fast in the TGP. If anyone else would like to share their settings, I'm always looking to improve mine.

  13. Just for data reference, flying low over a burning city in IL2 today, mild stutters and FPS at 65. Just a few seconds of it. GPU (5090) is around 95% useage most of the time (so 0.85 render is spot on), CPU (9800X3D) at 45% (proper heavy assets mission). So it's not 'just a DCS thing'.

But off the top of my head 70 is an odd number so drop that 60, turn of TAA set textures to high , flat shadow blur off, set clouds to low, chimney smoke to 1... turn off volumetric lights if you have access to discord, submit your dcs log file to the bot on the DCS channel that should help... also note the F-14 cockpit going to have bits of letters missing etc.. thats the way its modelled
  15. I did think that in the real aircraft, that simply pushing the throttle further forward enabled the water injection. Is that not how the updated version works?

  18. OK. The last map you posted, the overlay and the base map seem quite different in the river crossing. Do you find? When you fade the overlay out, the bridge isn't on there. The Rte Vancouver just seems to cross the river further to the east. Maybe infrastructure additions from the PRT? I was talking to a guy who was there at close out of Kandahar. I was sending him screenshots of the game map and some snaps from the map link you provided. It's kinda close to where our troops were but not exact.

Hi there i have done some extensive testing yesterday with a buddy and i can confirm the following: It is to note that in all the testing mentioned below we i had my radar on silent ensuring that the input of the target is coming from datalink. You can lock and launch an Aim120 on a MSI only track however as mentioned in the changelog you might visualize some desync pretty regularly. We have tested using both tracks coming from AWACS and in other instances we have tried using only fighter to fighter datalink and in both cases it works meaning good launch good track and a good hit. However there are plenty of issues that have been caused in the radar for example now by using NWS in the TWS mode i have verified that it appears like the target switch happens but immediately snaps back meaning you can go from target with priority as 1 to 2 but it kinda glitches and throws you back to the 1. Other isssue i have noted for example when you perform soft/SAM lock on a target in RWS mode you cant proceed to unlock it with NWS. And this issue is very evident when you try to for example perform a msi lock on a target that is located outside your radar sweep you get a successful lock but when you proceed to unlock it you can't which is pretty annoying. But overall its a very cool feature added and in near future the issues will be resolved most likely.

  21. This is the best rear view of R-77-1 that I found, and to be in some normal focus to allow taking measuremets. Seems like throat in R-77-1 could be a bit more tight, diameter of seal (сопловая заглушка) from this photo is something about 50mm Seal can be installed in various ways -> but I think this last one (bottom one) is the most likely how it is fixed in nozzle. That means that throat is more likely 40mm what is kind of less then in R-77, and exit diameter is something like 148mm what makes initial expansion ratio 13,7 and that is in range of R-77. But 40mm throat diameter could result that this motor works differently, propellant must be with lower burning rate, otherwise motor would blow out Slower burning -> longer burning Total impulse is still in range, about 14300 kgs at sea level and 15500 at 10km And this longer burning motor gives very nice push in lofting -> It would be nice if there is some video which can give clue how long motor burns, but I haven't managed to find some
