  5. Buy me a drink, and we can see if we can work something out
  6. The term "AI" is so overused these days, it lost all meaning: everyone seems to mean something else...
  7. Hi @dggoofy, Can you help me? Mission 12: I don't know, I don't understand, I'm clueless. I'm having trouble taking off. I've tried with less fuel. I've tried without the UB-32, and I'm still having trouble taking off. The helicopter feels like it's too heavy, and I still feel like the rotor is too light, not holding onto the air. I had to work really hard and fiddle around to get it to take off. This is very strange. Another thing: Volk 2 is powered on and takes off shortly after the mission begins. The dialogue indicates that the entire start-up and take-off procedure should proceed normally. When I reach the area where Raven is, nothing happens. I don't receive any communication. I'm flying around in circles, doing nothing. Maybe I did something wrong.
  8. Yeap, that was the idea, long range over the ocean, operating at the limit.
  9. I’m really looking forward to the PTO assets pack and I can’t wait to use these new units to build realistic missions One thing I’m thinking about, however, is that we won’t have nice GCI radars to go along in a PTO WWII setting. It’d be really nice if some of the carriers or other vessels had functional GCI radars in-game. Radar-controlled intercepts proved really useful for the US Navy in WWII and it was commonly used in key battles as far as I’m aware, it’d be nice if we could properly simulate this in DCS!
  10. This is a further, future topic, likely related to DCS v. 3.0, when a spherical Earth would be introduced. Then, historical conflicts could actually be created in the exact places where they once took place. However, that's likely a further topic. For now, the Mariana Islands WWII version remains. Personally, I'm a bit disappointed that the Check Six team withdrew their Australia project, instead of expanding it and changing it to a WWII version, adding a bit more of the map to the north - Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. It would have been possible, and it would have provided a great foundation for DCS PTO. There was quite a discussion about it, and probably many more people would have accepted such a choice.
  11. The Corsair was released just a month ago, I sincerely doubt that ED has such a short development horizon. However, I truly hope that the Corsair has sold well, as that could mean a Mig-21 Remastered on the future.
  12. No, research alone for the Zero has been going on for an incredibly long time. It was more about making sure we could do it to the expected level that people expect from a DCS Warbird. We were happy to have M3 doing a module that will fit in nicely with the Hellcat and Zero, but they were not held for the release of any other module. Thanks!
  13. This would be monumental for DCS until we have some sort of global map or map layers that connect, would completely change current "map boundaries", would really like to hear about this as well! He was asking about the battleship being cut from the PTO pack not the PC helo, which for what it is worth is a very nice and fun to fly module! Really looking forward to the DCS PTO (and hoping a Solomon Islands Map comes about someday), hope we see more AI assets in the ETO as well and of course there are hundreds of aircraft that ED could develop for either theater as flyables which would be major sellers, all in due time hopefully. One way or another very exciting times for DCS WWII! Wouldn't mind seeing some 60-80s and Modern Assets packs being made as well.
  14. Bingo!
  15. I can’t help but thinking ED waited to see the success of the Corsair before expanding their plans for the pacific assets pack and the flyable zero. So I guess the Corsair did well sales wise, that’s great news.
  16. Can't comment on the brand but 32GB is an absolute minimum these days. DCS uses up more than 50GB on the CW Germany map... It will not take long before 64GB will be the minimum.
  17. I got a message today informing me that its ready to ship. based on emails it took 3 days during the assembly period but 11 days to get through inspections. Not sure if it failed and they had to start all over or if inspections is a bottleneck. Asked if I wanted to keep the 50ppd unit and if my address was the same. It appears to be moving along...

  19. We didn't experience this when running rockets in a multi-crew setting the other day. Are you saying when you both WAS'ed rockets you didn't get the COOP indicator in the back seat?

  22. It's not ED who decides which 3rd party modules that wants to participate in the trial program. PC stated before release that the Kiowa will never be on trial nor sales. Can't find the original post, but IIRC it's about licensing. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
