  2. Yeah, so the first one is definitely him still being in FOCUS mode. I suppose he did not understand that this particular bandit died. The "bandit is down" callout isnt coming from his radar code but is a visual observation. So his radar logic likely thought that the bandit could still be there, keeping it focused to get it back on screen. You can just get him back to standard scan by using the context actions - autofocus only happens on targets actually on the screen, so he will not focus thin air. The second one, not sure whats going on there specifically. Possibly he did not understand that you left CAGE mode yourself instead of using the context actions. You can enable the Jester Console (RCTRL+L) to get some insights into what he is doing. I would also suggest to hit context action to get him back to standard scan. Note that you can have Jester leave CAGE mode for you by using the Context Action as well - no need to rotate that knob yourself (potentially losing the target visually doing that). If you can reproduce this a track would be great, then we can have a deeper look. Cheers
  3. Tried a little something with a static model:
  4. Just to make sure, while this might be your personal estimation, such a statement has not been made by any official sources. There is no correlation betwen the two modules in any way. I cant speak for ED and their F-35, but the EF releases when its done as simple as that
  5. Just dropping in to say "Thanks, Chuck!"
  7. Hi guys. Although I do know in real life the OH-58D does only carry 2 pilots, I am planning some missions where the Kiowa Warrior "simulates" the MH-6 Little Bird without mast or hellfires and I would like to have the possibility of adding an extra 4 soldiers as the Littlebird can carry I have tried several ways to add the Kiowa to the list of aircraft either by aircraft type using "OH-58D" or "OH-58D(R)" or even using the pilot name but I do not manage to get the CTLD menu and to load troops. In the same mission I can do it nicely in the UH or other helicopter types. I would like to ask if the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior could be used to carry 4 extra soldiers with CTLD or there is an impossibility for that? Thanks!! EDIT FIXED !!!!! the script recognized the helicopter as "OH58D" and not as "OH-58D" or "OH-58D(R)" it works now !!!

  9. F16 1991 and F18 somewhat around 1999 if I remeber it correct.
  10. Destroyed Yak-28: Quick missing texture Put this in the "Textures" folder. destroyed.dds
  11. The FCR scan area on the TSD will erroneously not show or disappear if: 1. One TSD is zoomed out to 150km or greater, and on the other TSD the FCR scan area disappears. 2. If the TSD is zoomed at 150km or greater, and the TSD MAP mode is changed to SAT, which changes the map scale to 25km, the FCR scan area doesn't appear. The video shows the two glitches in the same order. 2025-08-19 23-48-28 - Trim.mp4
  12. In the current version, this issue has been resolved as the launcher now has the ability to change the language.
  13. Did you use ROE = WEOPON FREE ?
  14. 好像没中文的,看英文的吧,,,,其实和1比基本没变,就是HOTAS功能小改,新加的头瞄,雷射指导火箭弹还有个数字电台这几部分不一样,光看这几页就行了。。。。。
  15. Convert 9000 feet to meters and use that number - it will work after that
  16. The Pantsir with its 57E6 uses command guidance, so there won’t be a RWR launch warning. The radar is steering the missile by sending it commands, it has no seeker itself.
  17. The fuel gauge includes the reserve. If you saw it at zero after your engine quit, then you were empty on the reserve as well. When on the main tank during a flight, you’ll see the fuel needle drop to 50 gallons and then the engine will quit. Quickly switch over to reserve and it will fire back up and you can use the remaining 50 gallons in the standpipe.
  18. Hi, How can i input MGRS coordinates in the JF17? I would like to work with a JTAC who gives me a 9lines based on MGRS. Thx
  19. Fire the laser after the target is designated. You don't need to hold it "on," just a quick shot to get the ranging data. In my experience, for best results, don't actually designate the "body" of the target you want to hit. Designate a tire, the tread, or the ground under the target if you can see it.
  20. The shaking is probably your engine detonating under high load. If you stick with the recommended settings and be vigilant with your temperature scan and use the respective cooling aids, the engine will purr nicely. I recently successfully passed carrier qualifications in the Corsair School campaign, with 5 take-offs straight into the circuit and 5 traps. The engine was working hard at low level and low airspeed. I was scanning the temps constantly and adjusting as required. The engine never missed a beat. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  21. Yes, i've had this issue intermittently for a while but now its every startup and shutdown since the last update.
  22. thanks folks. I think I figured out the problem and it has something to do with the RPM bug. I think the whole time the "shake" was caused by being severely under powered. When I put the RPM on the setting shown in the attached (5200 up thru 7000), everything smoothed out. So I ran if for 45 minutes and am still running it now. So that can't be Combat or WEP...must be around the mark for Continuous. @Scotch75 thank you for the clarification on the fuel pump switch! It's fun again. OMG Edited to note - I was reading the damn gauge wrong from the get go. OMG. Embarrassed!!
  23. Whoa! This became a sticky. Very humbled. Thanks to whoever was responsible I updated the mission file. Minor update. Forgot to change the briefing image in the last update. It's fixed now. Enjoy.
  24. I recently got to look at some Westinghouse documents at a museum. On the apg-68, a block 40 (v)1 manual from 1989 and a (v)5 manual from 1995. You’re completely correct they almost look like different Radars. the (v)1 in air to air is more similar to APG-66 RANGE WHILE SEARCH UPLOOK SEARCH AIR COMBAT MANEUVERING VELOCITY SEARCH TRACK WHILE SCAN SINGLE TARGET TRACK SITUATION AWARENESS MODE Maybe VS uses HPRF but I was surprised that the modes are so different from the (V)5 which seems to reflect the DCS radar. interestingly AMRAAM was already In the manual.
  25. Hi, I noticed that dogfighting in the T-45 seems too much easier than I expected it to be. e.g. T-45 2x LAU-68 M274 TP-SM (unguided target practice smoke rockets) vs 4x F-22a guns only. See the attached mission I checked the VNAO_T45.lua has the "Damage = ..." section (line216) commented out and "Failures = { nil" (line 411). Is it safe to uncomment/re-enable these or were they disabled for some compatibility issue ? t45.v.4xf22a.caucasus.miz
  26. Again, engine settings for takeoff will be found in the POH. Check out the link. Scroll down to the takeoff section if you don't want to read the whole thing. You can also install my kneeboards and follow them while in cockpit. This will help get you going as well. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3345803/
  27. For the past couple months I've been working on a utility to help people create kneeboards/mission cards for flight nights with their squadrons/friends. I call it Digital Kneeboard Simulator. While its still a ways out from what I would consider fully feature complete it has quite a few features that I think make it compelling. No install required, is entirely a totally free webapp Miz file import with corresponding import of both flight and redfor elements. Full mission planning feature set Interactive waypoint editing Per member loadout support with exports to DCS Preset creation for mission card segments for rapid mission creation Supports all theaters (that I know of) All airbases listed and displayed on maps Easily snap waypoints to airbases Automatically calculates elevation for any point and snaps waypoints to ground if desired DCS-DTC export Loadout weight calculation with automatic rotation speed calculation Flight time and ToT calcualtions with automatic CAS calculations for interstitial waypoints Parameterized popup attack calculator Many templates with more coming Ability to publish kneeboards and share a public link to in discord for easy disemination to your squad Single click setup script included in exports Installable by hand if setup script is too scary Squadron system to allow co-operative mission creation and planning Supported airframes: F-16 (Stable) Kiowa (Stable) Apache (Stable) F-18 (Beta) A10CII (Alpha) Coming in the future Support for blufor import form a miz file Native DCS DTC file support (instead of the DCS-DTC external app, which is quite excellent) More attack profiles Note that this is not a utility to make a miz file. Instead this should be thought of as a utility to create mission cards for an existing miz file or create mission cards for squadrons that reqularly fly on servers with dynamic ranges. Screenshots:
