Safety Request: Telemetry flag when the player aircraft is destroyed
Hiob replied to skydenzy's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Next to those, I can imagine a couple of other variables in the telemetry that could be used to identify such an event. They should be available in MP (accel e.g.). Shouldn't be hard to figure out how to detect a "kill" event bey proxy if neccessary. With reasonable accuracy. VPforce did it for the Rhino (The stick used to jolt forward when hitting the ground - now it doesn't anymore). Maybe they could ask him for advise. -

So what is going on with the new SPO-15 in new module?
-
It’s not normal to fly with the mirrors folded up. But it’s currently the only way unless we want to take a heavy FPS hit and deal with low quality rendering in the mirrors. So the static reflection adds a bit of immersion for those who don’t use the mirror rendering. I have played DCS with a large group for over 10 years and none of them has the mirrors turned on in any aircraft. The tradoffs vs gain is simply too high. Would it be nice to be able to enjoy MiG-29 without the look of folded-up mirrors? Yes. I’ll guess we have to wait for the mirror improvements. But it has to be at least double the performance and visual quality from current standard to be worth it (in my opinion). Anyways, it’s just my take on the topic.

Wie bereits per PN geschrieben, lass einfach mal zusammen auf Nellis ein wenig fliegen, dann gehts bedeutend schneller voran. Meld dich, wenn du Bock hast.

From Mirage F1 Flight Manual page 96: "When the button is pressed, the sight changes to cannon air-to-air mode with radar guidance, the outer missiles are selected and a green light on the side of the sight mount turns on. Further short presses of the button release the current radar lock and command a radar search in front of the current target. A long press of the button commands the restart of the search pattern from the initial position." If you want to re-lock the same target you should long press C+M button.

Any updates on the development of this much-anticipated module?

Is the Fire at Point within Max and outside of the Min range? Have you waited the 3 minutes aiming time required by artillery units? Have you considered spawning illumination flares in a trigger zone instead while the L118 is just there for "dummy" purposes? Can you upload your mission?

Hippo started following AGM-84H SLAM-ER unexpected behaviour

I attach three tracks for your perusal. Track 01 : the behaviour I intended to report. Things go very wrong at around 1017 as the missile plunges to its demise. Track 01a: I unintentionally left the fuse set to OFF and I got a different (and unexpected) result; even with the fusing incorrectly set should it do this? Around 1017 the missile doesn't make its last turn towards the target and gradually descends until it crashes into the sea. Track 02: I amended the mission so that the target was nearer and this time it worked as expected. I created this mission years ago, and this didn't happen at the time. Maybe it's something to do with the range or that the missile is (mostly) flying into wind; but surely an in-range indication shouldn't appear if the FP to the target is outside of the missile's range. Please ignore any mission failure, etc, messages, they are informational only. Searching I found this post, from January(!), which seems very similar. If it's the same issue, consider this a bump and an offer of additional information in the hope of encouraging a swift resolution. track_01a.trk track_01.trk track_02.trk

Sehr coole, stimmungsvolle Screenshots! Südwestlich, genauer: in der Landeshauptstadt neben der Hauptstadt. Nochmal! Euch allen vielen Dank für das schöne Willkommen!

Terrain modules using diferent specialized SDK (terrain develop kit) outside to the SDK ised to aircrafts modules... Yo nerd learn from the Scratch them to build maps, and EDM cant be usted into them. Enviado desde mi CPH2197 mediante Tapatalk ED was very clear, They don was none plans to add airports outside the actual PH os NTTR maps, that requiere rebuild from the Scratch. I've set myself up a live firing range mission at the NTTR. What I'm looking for is an elegant solution to have the L118 Arty fire Illumination rounds as long as I'm in the AO or have them activated/deactivated per radio item. What I've done so far is to activate the unit per 'Inside Zone' trigger and gave them a 'fire at point' mission with illumination munitions. Which doesn't work to well as I have to give them the fire order via the f10 map to get them shelling. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

That would be unrelated to this thread though. Here it is about replays/tracks. When you say the TGP shakes, I am going to assume you mean the TGP on the pilots screen only? That is expected behavior, the TGP is computed on the WSOs computer and results are synced to the pilots machine, while it is smoothed out on their machine locally. This causes slight "jumping" as the pilots machine receives the new data of where the TGP is looking at from the WSOs machine. There is no way around that on a technical level, that is just the effect of your and your friends ping.

Binding Heading switch to Orion 2 Knob
Phantom711 replied to markmajor's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
This has been brought up here as well as in the WW subforum multiple times. It doesn‘t work because of the short signal the encoder sends. Not sure if either side (ED or WW) could actually fix it. Remember that the Orion2 is somewhat „Hornet-inspired“ but not a replica. I ended up using these to scroll through the kneeboard pages for example. -
I guess I have to ask why? The generic reflective material is pretty ugly. If the performance is not great with mirrors for you, then you just fold them up, and they do not render. (Try not to judge too much by the dev video, I see much better frames than this). 2) We will have resolution settings for mirrors coming; you will be able to pick the resolution you want, much like cockpit resolutions. We will also have a render option as well, either sequential or not.

Has support provided further instructions on the return and refund?

Thanks for info! I had some problems with DCS-BIOS, but it look like old version of this works. But I still have some strange problems now with the connection. I haven't yet sorted out what the problem is. But I noticed the newest DCS-BIOS has an different interface code then the previous versions. As I have lot of DCS-BIOS connections it will be a major job to update the code.

Roger that, let me forward this feedback to the team.

Any update on this? Has anyone upgraded from the QP to Pimax Super?
-
I wish they were better but I can't fly without them.

I am in VR testing the MiG-29A constantly, I am not seeing any FPS issue using mirrors, and they look good to me, but I suppose we all have our own preferences and tolerances. I would suggest you give them a go however once you get your hands on it. thanks
